Re: MLB '10: The Show Commercial

The best part to me was when he said "Sure you are big guy" And then when he said "well played Mauer" That was classic. The dude is really good at timing and delivering his lines.

Re: MLB '10: The Show Commercial

Sorry but I hated the commercial. A 30 second commercial should show 30 seconds of gameplay. They should be targeting the casual gamer who isn't following the game online 24/7. People are going to buy the game because Butler and Mauer had a "funny" convo. People are going to buy the game if they see 30 seconds of awesome gameplay.

Now come back from the land of make believe. That is not how marketing works.

What does a movie trailer show when you see the commercial on TV? Avatar trailer didn't show James Cameron with Sam Huntington (spelling) having a dispute over meeting in Mexico while fishing with Avatar showed in the background.

I forgot, it's Brilliant marketing by Sony to have the best looking sports game being played in the background so that two idiots can have a convo about Mexico.

Yes, because I'm sure you know more about marketing and what's effective than the people Sony pays to market the games.

This isn't a movie. They did it last year with Pedroia and it was successful. And I bet if it were Cano, you would have left it with glowing praise.

In almost every shot the game was playing on a tv behind them. That was a funny commercial,
