What if you havent turned the system on since last week, and you just wait til tomorow to turn it on so there fore it never even gets to the leap year, and it just bypasses that day???

Also if the only thing thats bad is you lose trophies or game saves and you have nothing on the system you absolutely need can you still play

Ok I know this is kind of off-topic but this is the only topic that I have seen on the board that is talking about the PS3 issue.

I have an original 60 GB PS3 and I've noticed that my date is completely reset but I can put NBA 2k10 in and play perfectly. (I haven't tried any other games yet out of fear, lol) NBA 2k10 is definitely a game that has trophies enabled.

I don't know the model number on the 60 gig but I do know it's a "fat" PS3 and that my date says 12/31. I'm wondering if I should switch the date and make sure it doesn't roll over to 1/1 or something...makes me nervous.

Anybody else experience anything like this? I haven't been online since roughly 6:00 pm last night CST.

(Again, sorry if this is TOO off-topic, I just didn't see it being discussed anywhere else, and was surprised when my ps3 played a game without any trouble)

WHEW! i just seen this thread and had to hop on my ps3 and check it out. I too have a 80 gb fatty and my date is fine and seems every thing is working!

I have a 40 GB MGS4 edition PS3 and just turned the system on but didn't login to any user account on the system. Date said 12/31 in the upper right corner, so I know that mine is affected. Didn't login to my account so that it wouldn't load up any of the data in it. I'll try it again later tonight when I get back from Gamestop with my copy of The Show.

Well, I turned mine on,CECHHO1, one of the affected models,played MW2 campaign offline (It wouldn't connect) but i didn't lose any of my trophies or game data.

I would be content if I could just play The Show tomorrow, don't need online...right away

I have no idea what this problem is about, as I have not seen a single problem with my 80 GB fat PS3 I got for my birthday last April.

These last few days I finished up my 162 game season in MLB 09 the show, just swept the Dodgers in the World Series. Yesterday I also downloaded two game demos from PSN and played them both and it worked fine. Am I just one of the lucky few or is there something specific that needs to be done inorder to create the bug?

I haven't been able to play '09 since yesterday. I have the old fat 40 GB model. It just goes to a black screen... won't load any part of the game at all. Tried going offline and nothing still. Any other suggestions?
