    This game is sex.
I heard that last night -- totally lost my sh*t.

I think the full line was more obvious, something like: "That's the type of thing people could talk about in online forums. They could call it 'The Little Things.'"

Just noticed that pitchers that get on base don jackets on cold days/nights. Very nice touch.

little things are great - but they need to fix the on-field bugs like the stupid animations with the pitcher taking too much time to throw to first base. have fun fellas

Yeah, I noticed that while doing batting training in my RttS career. The wind was blowing HARD to right field, and the flags were almost straight out to the right. Hit a pop-up to left field and it curved and landed on the ground in center. I didn't really notice it then, but the following game the wind was blowing out to left and so were the flags. That is AWESOME!

Another neat little thing I noticed was in the All-Star game. I got voted in as the starting catcher for the All-Star game in my second year in the majors. (Got off to an amazing start with 30 HR by the break, though I have to work on my hitting because if they throw a curveball I'm dead meat). The previous year, the Braves beat the Rays in the World Series. Who was the manager in the dugout for the American League? Yup. Joe Maddon. I thought that was a great touch that they have the manager of the World Series teams from the prior year as the managers for the All-Star game. Also saw Ron Gardenhire as the 1st base coach and Joe Girardi as the 3rd base coach. I didn't catch the NL manager, but saw Joe Torre out there at 1st base. That is just such as awesome touch for the AS Game, and one that I never would have really begged to be included, but I'm glad that it was.

Also, the way the AI managers the AS game is great. Each team seemed to use one pitcher every inning once the 3rd inning came along, and when we got to the 6th/7th innings, they started to replace the position players. I wasn't sure if there would be special programming for the AI on the AS Game, but I'm happy they did. The only thing I would like to see improved is the commentary. The guys in the booth just seemed to call the game like it was a regular season game. When new pitchers came in early, they started saying things like "I have a feeling he didn't expect to be the in the game this early! He'll have to eat up a few innings to save the bullpen otherwise they'll be tired for the rest of the series." That kind of took me out of the experience. Otherwise, everything was great. Having your music play during the HR Derby really just adds a nice touch to it. Hopefully next year they'll include replays of the HR's after a big one.

I'm sure someone else has mentioned this before...

But I was amazed today when I got to Mother's Day in my franchise and the players were all using PINK BATS!

            Very cool move.

              Playing the Pirates,
Rex of all people commented that Daniel McCutchen got the batter to fly out to Andrew McCutchen and their was obviously no relation.
Anybody heard any other little anicdotes like this?

Last night, I played a Phillies vs Pirates game. I had Jamie Moyer pitching and a graphic came up with Rex's hits, at-bats and avg. against Moyer popped up on the screen. Rex said something like" I could hit him right now" I thought that was cool. One thing they need to add is player's tattoos, ie. AJ Burnett, then it will be almost perfect!

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread

I just finished a game in my Braves franchise against the Cubs and in the middle of the game, the announcer said something about taking a break from the action for a second and the camera flashed over to Jason Heyward who was picking up a beach ball that had been thrown on the field, then ran it back over to the stands, and threw it back up in the stands.

That sentence has to be a grammatical nightmare but this game is so awesome! I just got a ps3 a few days ago and bought the show as my first game. it was worth the getting the ps3 by itself..

I like the different celebrations when you hit a walk off homerun to win the game. I hit one with Hamilton and he was running to first base and almost forgot to touch the base.

Also, I set the controller down for a little bit and it goes to a cut scene of the batter playing the guitar with his bat and the catcher trying to pump up the crowd to cheer for him.

In my last game in franchise mode, they said something about a player doing all the little things right and then the announcers said they're proably having a little things thread on the boards right now. That was really awesome

I love, among other things mentioned already, the dugouts in this years edition. I don't think they were the same in 09, but if you look in 10, whichever team is at bat will have more players in their dugout than the team on defense. Just another nice little touch to add to the realism.

I was playing a game against the cubs at wrigley in my franchise last night and after the 1st out in the 7th, Rex starts singing take me out to the ball game and my guys were covering their ears and looking up towards the booth LOL. Easily one of the coolest things I've ever seen in any sports game.

After giving up a hit on a curveball, Dave said that my pitcher was getting hammered on curve balls, and questioned whether he was tipping his pitches. I checked out pitcher analysis, and sure enough, the other team was 5-6 on curveballs. It really helped me make sure I mixed up my pitches more and didn't throw the curve as often.

I was playing the Astros on at MMBP the other day and had to pause the game for a few minutes. When I came back I heard the stadium PA announcer say that "On (I can't remember the date) the first 20,000 fans at the staidum would recieve a commemorative bobblehead from Astros legend Jeff Bagwell."

I thought that was pretty interesting to hear.
