Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I'm new to the MLB series, and in fact bought a PS3 just for this game after reading all the posts in this forum.
My LOL moment occured in my Toronto season. In the 5th against the White Sox, Adam Lind hits a shot to straight away centerfield. Juan Pierre had a bead on it at the wall and in fact almost timed his jump perfectly. Almost. When he jumped, the ball hit the heel of his glove and popped over the wall for a solo homerun.
Matt V then said "What in the Canseco is he doing down there?".
From the play to the comments, i thought it was awesome and a very nice touch!Comment

Playing a game against the Reds as the Cubs, and during Soriano's at bat, the crowd starting chanting "Over-rated! Over-rated!" Lol, it was so unexpected, I questioned if it was really what I thought it was. Pretty cool.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Saw the CPU throw to 2nd on a poor sac bunt instead of the usual safe play to first - and turn a double play in the process!
Might seem like basic baseball fundamentals, but given the number of times games screw AI decision making stuff like this up, it is anything but "basic".

Bonus: The same pitcher came up for his next at-bat in the exact same situation, and laid down a good bunt. the 3B again made the correct play in throwing to 1st.Comment

Playing a Franchise as the Royals.
Without getting into too much detail, it's 'The Little Things' that definitely make it a totally enjoyable experience. Stupid errors by Betancourt. Only being able to rely on Grienke and Soria.
Are those things totally frustrating to watch in the game? Yes.
But guess what: Watching the Royals every day is frustrating in real life.
It's frustrating for the right reasons. I love it.Toronto Sports Fan

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I know this probably been mentioned before, I like seeing the fans going after the balls when its fouled by the wall in the first row but I want to see them actually get the ball. Plus adding ball boy/men/girls to the game will make the "little things" even better.NHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks

I love how during RTTS, fans will sometimes say your name. Yesterday I heard "Let's go (Insert Name Here)" from one of the fans, it was crazy.Irish-Chargers-Padres-Kings-Cavs-USD-SDSU

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
A little thing I would like to see. The ability to get in your manager's face for benching you. A new interaction. For example. I am in AA towards the end of my second season. I am a 2 time all star hitting over .400 and leading the league in all offensive categories except SB(which I am second in). My speed is almost 60(which isn't great) and my manager takes away my green light. A few games later I get on base and say **** it and run and I get benched for it.
Now in real life, would never happen(star player and all after all), but in game, why can't there an interaction where I threaten to not play anymore(as we are entering the playoffs I might add) if he doesn't **** off with his benching.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Just the presentation of the game is great in general. Just came from 2k10 MLB.
I played 09 SHOW though and was impressed. The walkups, sitdowns, outfielder animations, just seems like a REAL baseball atmosphere. Also when the crowd reacts to bases loaded.
Some things I would enjoy seeing is, maybe cutscreens of fans catching homers (sometimes, not all the time) and as someone already mentioned, bat boys/girls would be a welcomed addition to 'little things' that make this game great.Last edited by CBMerling; 06-06-2010, 06:39 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I saw the CPU miss an infield fly today, no joke. I've never, ever seen that before, but it looked like the 2B and P were converging on the ball and both just stopped before it hit the ground.
Has anyone seen this before? I thought it was impossible to drop a can of corn in this game. I've probably played 200 games before triggering this one.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Wanted to try out some sliders, which I like doing in franchise even if I'm not ready to start one while waiting for OS rosters. I thought it was kinda weird when COL @LAD I saw pink bats. It took an inning, than I realized it was for Mother's Day. I semi-randomly selected a sim date (wanted to match up against Jimenez) and it happened to be Mother's Day.New York Giants (8 NFL Championships-4 Superbowls )

I was playing a Rockies franchise game today against the Padres and Blanks appeared to lose the ball in the lights. He was tracking the ball, then stopped, looked around and the ball landed a few feet to his right. Never seen that before.Currently Playing:
