- Exhibition - Indians at Baltimore

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

- Line drive, one-bouncer hit behind Nick Markakis and was ruled a ground-rule double, even though it bounced off the fence (less than halfway up) and bounced back onto the field at Camden Yards (rightfield wall). Wasn't even close to bouncing above that 20-foot wall.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

- Have only seen it once, but have only completed one game at Camden Yards.

In the Player Utilities section, then the My Game History section. The box score for the game is correct. I went to the individual game history and the box score was incorrect with the score/hits/errors flipped. The actual score was 6-2 Phillies. Here, it depicts the score as 6-2 Twins instead.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Every time I check out the individual game history, it appears incorrect.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
I was going to move Granderson to LF and put Garder in to play CF. I pressed up on the D-pad to bring up the quick menu. When I went to 'defensive alignment' the game stuttered for a bit, then a whole bunch of overlays came up. I wish I would have taken a pic or screenshot, but I was confused and didn't know WTF was going on.

I pressed start a bunch of times, but nothing would happen. The game was still playable, though. I could select my pitch and then location. But all the overlays were on the screen.

For example the quick menu was still on the screen, as well as the replay options, and some other overlays. I ended up giving up a HR on the first pitch I threw, and the overlays stayed on the screen throughout the whole HR trot.

They finally vanished when the game showed a replay.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I tried to reproduce it a bunch of times, but I couldn't get it.

Runner on first, one out. I was down by one run in the bottom of the tenth with Michael Cuddyer at the plate. I had two strikes, but I then pressed pause to see what Morneau's speed was at first base and if it was worth pinch-running him. I decided it wasn't, and unpaused. Nothing seemed to happen, however. At first I thought the game froze as the start menu was still on the screen. All of the sudden I hear the umpire punch me out and Vasgersian starts ranting about me watching a pitch go by right over the plate. It finally left the start menu when the replay came up. So the game was playing when the screen was still showing as "on pause"

Seemingly similar to last time, I wanted to see if I could test the "Save Screenshot" function while a ball was in mid-flight. After saving the shot (though it was after the ball already landed) I left the XMB, but the game stayed frozen on the crowd. Not that it was actually frozen, as you could still see the crowd animate and you could still hear them. I figured this was the same issue where the HRD was still going on while the screen showed something else, but there was no such sign of getting any more pitches to my batter. So I pressed pause and restarted, and the screen faded to black and never came back on. I guess at that point, the game "froze" FTL. I could still access the XMB, where I quit the game there and restarted it. I haven't seen the issue again since.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Again, I'm not sure. It seems to be part of a larger issue within the game that I can't explain for myself.

I was the Reds vs. the Indians. Bottom of the 4th inning 1 out, Orlanda Cabrera hit a shot into the LF Gap, I rounded 2nd and decided to go for the triple. The Cutoff man held the ball for a little bit and Cabrera rounded 3rd and kept running home, the Cutoff Man threw the ball home and after crossing home plate, Cabrera starts running back to 3rd base. He overruns 3rd base and keeps running into the outfield with the catcher chasing him, he is now stuck up against the wall and the catcher in standing at 3rd base holding the ball.

The only time I pressed anything to control the runner was rounding second and telling him to go to 3rd.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Just saw it for the 1st time.


I dont really know what to think. Never saw this in 09.
EDIT - Had to switch over to the Indians, and run and tag carbera and he was called out or the game would've stayed with cabrera running into the wall and the Indians catcher standing there watching.

When you do an in-game save and restart it at a later time the pitcher's confidence (in the select button screen) resets to where it was before you ever originally started the game (whether or not his confidence was low or high at the time you saved it) Absolutely the best MLB game I have ever played but this one thing bothers me. For this reason I do not like saving my franchise in game because I dont want to come back and it's like the pitcher hasn't thrown a pitch because his confidence does not portray a good or a bad outing when loading it back up.

As long as I have known about it. It was in there last year, maybe previously as well

Pinch hit with Delmon Young for Denard Span, hit a liner off the pitcher (Rafael Perez) and the ball rolled over to around the SS, but no one picked it up. Matt announced it was foul, but I ran to 1st and before the ball even stopped rolling, the ump just threw a new ball to the pitcher.

How often can the bug be reproduced?No idea, haven't hit it off the pitcher again yet.

i pinch hit for my sp and then went to the bullpen to doubleswitch and in doing so made the menu from the bullpen "stick" on the screen for the rest of the game. this prevented me from using the start or quick menus and forced me to use the position player as pitcher. also possibly currupts save file after completing game with autosave on.

i have done it everytime ive tried to double switch. real game breaker for me..

Ex - Tigers at Twins (me)

What happened?
Tigers batting, Brandon Inge on 1st, Clete Thomas at bat, 1 out. Thomas grounds to Nick Punto (2B), Punto throws to J.J. Hardy (SS) covering 2nd (Inge out), Hardy's throw to Justin Morneau (1B) is overthrown and ends up in the dugout. Play is ruled as Thomas reaching 1st on throwing error by Punto (4-6, E6).

Two problems here: 1) The error was made by Hardy, not Punto (the position is correct, the name is not) 2) The in-game replay following the error was correct up to when the ball lands in the dugout (it doesn't look like it went into it, the ball was visible even though from the replay angle it shouldn't have). I can't record a replay of it because it showed correctly when I viewed it again.

I have absolutely no control after entering practice mode when I use my original Sony PS3 controller. I can't even exit back to the main menu, I can only exit out of the game. I also have a Logitech cordless PS3 controller and it works fine in practice mode. I tried entering practice mode a few times with the Sony PS3 controller but there is no control at all.

So far its happened twice but, when you go to intentionally walk someone the game freezes up, happened twice against same guy in 2 differen games. I figure ill jus throw the walk myself to avoid this bug but just letting everyone know its happened twice. Going to intentionally walk and game freezes up

I hit into a potential double play and beat the throw to first. When the next batter came up, everyone was safe on base including the runner on 2nd even though he was out by a mile.

Also,

My first two at bats with Ellsbury of the Red Sox resulted in the infamous "dropped 3rd strike/safe at first" play that has plagued this game for years - and I've only played 3 innings

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I was unable to use my Sony controller and had to go to a 3rd party controller to be able to get it to work

How often can the bug be reproduced? Yes did it 3 times.


Further note--I was able to fix this issue myself by reassigning the controller to the #1 controller. Odd fix because I was able to use the controller that was assigned as #2 without a hitch but had to reassign the one that was assigned as #3 to #1 and it worked fine.

Alright, so I just got the game today and decided to start my RTTS. Everything was going awesome until I got to August 4th, 2010. For some reason it will not go past that date. I can't play or sim. It just sits there indefinitely. I can press O and back out and it doesn't freeze the game or anything, I just can't move past that date what so ever.

I'm not impatient either, I tried to sim and play and let it sit and do its thing for up to 10 minutes and it does nothing.

Has anyone encountered this yet? Would someone be kind to check if it's like that in your game too? I'd like to know if it's the particular game I bought or the gaming code itself.

Each and every time for me. This is a MAJOR bug.
