    Re: Name Database (Audio) Requests

I have been attempting to get my name in the game for years - ever since I missed out on that thread by the developers a few years ago. Hopefully these have a shot at being in next year games:

    Name: Daoud Shuja
Pronunciation: Da-ood (Similar to Dowd). Shoe-ja

      Re: Name Database (Audio) Requests

I've been trying as well, but my last name is so completely uncommon that I've never expected to see it. But I'll try again.

      Name: Urgitis
      Pronounciation: Yer-guy-tiss.

I can only imagine how Rex would get off on making a comment about it. What I wish they would do now is still call out your first name if it is in the game. My first name is in there, but when the pbp guys talk about me, they just say "And #29 has been on a hot streak recently..." instead of at least saying my first name.

I'm sure you're on the lookout for a good French Canadian name! You'd be covering the Quebecois demographic (Gagne!) and the Cajuns as a bonus (Theriot & Fontenot)... a realistic sim basically requires a random frenchy name!

How about the last name Klock, rhymes clock.

While it may not be overly common I should note, my younger brothers and cousins have been playing this since '06. I came on board in '07 when it came out for the PS3. It should also be mentioned that we all live in different states or cities(all in our 20s and 30s) so we each have to buy our own copies to play each other online and between my brothers and cousins we annually purchase 11 copies of the game.

This is the inaugural season of the game for my 7 yr old so I must also request Stewie under the first names(yes named after Stewie on Family Guy) and Jamison for one of my brothers.

            Thanks a bunch....

My name is already in the game, and pronounced correctly (Shapiro, not like Mark Sha-pyro of the Indians), but I request two names for my friends.

First Name: Charris, pronounced Sher (as in the singer) and is (rhymes with hiss)

                Last Name: Shellie, pronounced Shell-ee

I would love to have my name (I'm german) in the game

                  first name: Alex
                  last name: Klisch

Klisch is pronounced like "fish" just with "kl" instead of "f"

                    Last name: Sawin

                    SAW-win.

Does not rhyme with a lumberjack's activity (sawin'), but more like telling someone you saw the winning pitcher at a game (I SAW him WIN the game).

have faithfully purchased an SCEA MLB game, every year for the past 7 years. And would love to finally have my last name in the database

                      last name: Bova

pronounced: like Bowa (except with a "va", instead of a "wa")

                        O'Sullivan. Pronounced Oh-SULL-eh-van.

Sullivan is in there, and I use it for my RTTS, but it still sounds weird.

Also, BIG thanks to SCEA for finally giving us the ability to put apostrophes in Create-A-Player mode! Now my name looks proper on the graphics that show up during games.

                          Re: Name Database (Audio) Requests

Both of these are first names -

Kimo - pronounced "Key" - "Moe"

This is probably the most popular name on the island of Hawai'i, and lets not forget Hawai'i is part of the Union.

Ikaika - pronounced "Ee" - "Ki" like in kite - "kuh"

This is another extremely popular name in Hawai'i, as you can't go into any store without bumping into an Ikaika. It means "strong" in the hawaiian language.
