How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?
Mother's day game, Royals at White Sox. Game freeze, PS3 must be powered down to fix. Happened two games in a row, finally had to sim the game. First time it was in the late innings and happened just after a Jose Guillen home run. It was a milestone moment and the announcers were talking about his 200th home run when it went to a cut scene and froze. Second time, trying to replay the game I went to the bullpen to warm up a releiver when it froze, again in the late innings.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
It happened two games in a row, both on the mother's day game. Both in the late innings. Not sure if it has to do with mother's day but I have not had a freeze before this or after this (5 more games) and am in my franchise.Originally posted by ImTellinTimComment

Offline Franchise
How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?
The one thing that I have been noticing since the release is the fact that I would get some "stuttering" while pitching or hitting. It happens a few times in a game (offline franchise) and it has caused me to swing and miss when hitting and to throw balls way out of the zone. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
How often can the bug be reproduced?

At the Rogers Centre, I have now hit 2 balls off the top of the fence that bounced back in play and where ruled HR's. Balls that hit the top of the fence and come back in play, should still be in play at the Rogers Centre. I realize that at some parks the top of the fence is considered at HR, but it is not at the Rogers Centre.

- This is my second copy of the game. I deleted all my origonal stored data from the first game. This game was working fine and did this once two days ago. Today went to play it happend 6 times. Popped in another game, worked fine. Tried mlb again then it worked. The game would feeze as soon as the oppening video would start rigth after the mlb logo. I had to hold the power button till the light blinked then press eject to get the disk out in order for the ps3 to shut down. The game seems to work alright now, but want to avoid this from happening again if possible....Comment

Batted ball hits the runner running from 1st to 2nd. Runner reaches first safely and is not called out for being hit. The ball did not go past an infielder first so he should have been called out.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Only happened once so far in about 60 games. No other runners have been hit, so I don't know if this is just a one time glitch or if runners are never called out after being hit.Comment

In about year 4 of franchise mode no team has enough money to sign big name players so they sit on waivers. I'm sure this has been brought up but i might as well post it again since it seems this problem isn't getting any attention and was in last years game too.

I was playing as the Cubs, and the next half-inning after pinch-hitting Ryan Theriot (who was on the bench resting) in place of the pitcher, I wanted to keep Ryan Theriot in the game at SS in place of Andres Blanco while *****ing Carlos Silva in to pitch. When I got to the Double Switch screen, I didn't know how to use it correctly, so when it told me to select what position to put Ryan Theriot at, I accidentally clicked "Ryan Theriot" on the list, and then I clicked "Andres Blanco." When nothing happened, I started clicking around between the two some more until something happened.
When I got back out onto the field, things were really screwed up. Ryan Theriot was accidentally removed from the game (this part was user error, I admit), but the real glitch here is that according to the Defensive Positioning menu, Andres Blanco was in the game BOTH at pitcher and at shortstop, but the character model of the shortstop was Carlos Silva, and he was wearing Silva's uniform. I panicked at the sight of this glitch and put Marmol in the game to pitch. Sure enough, Carlos Silva remained in the game at shortstop, yet the game still thought he was Andres Blanco on all of the menus and graphics, and Matt and the PA announcer treated him as Andres Blanco. At this point, I was kind of curious if he would play using Blanco's attributes or Silva's attributes. Pretty quickly, I determined that he was indeed using Silva's attributes as he was unbelievably slow around the bases (he reached on a HBP), and he couldn't play SS to save his life; in fact, he even blew the game by overthrowing to 1st on a routine double play.
To summarize, Carlos Silva was in the game at SS both in character model and in terms of the attributes that he had during gameplay; however, all menus, graphics, and announcing treated him as Andres Blanco, including the attributes that were displayed for him on screen such as contact, power, and speed.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Probably every **** when you use the Double Switch screen as improperly as I did. In doing so, I must've swapped Andres Blanco for himself and Carlos Silva at the same ****, which triggered the glitch. What happened to me must have been the game's failsafe to having two of the same player in the game at one ****.Comment

i call them, the blue boxes of death, ***, they are blue boxes that take the texture of the grass, but are instead blue, that appear around the on field logos by the dugout, for occasions such as opening ***, futures game, homerun derby, all-star game, and the playoffs

whenever i play one of the mentioned games above, those blue boxes appear, and its not every once and a while, its EVERY game that falls under one of those 5 categories, and it doesnt happen in the 2010 season, at least not that i've noticed, but i have a few pictures, none of which are from the 2010 season, the last 2 are from the 2014 season
also, it doesnt just happen at angels stadium, it happens at every stadium, dodgers stadium, fenway, chase field, all of them

every game that falls under thos 5 categories after the 2010 season
(apparently photobucket, or this forums coding or something, is being ********, so i have to just post links to the pictures i guess)
(OK, forget it, just look at the first 3 pictures that **** up when it says specific media not found, they should be the ones with the blue boxes on the field)

this happens to me as well, but in rtts and i'm the pitcher, i use Joel Zumya's windup, and every few ****s that theres a man on base, the windup (or stretch i guess) speed up, and catches me completely off guard, and then on the next ball he pitches, he does a wierd slower version of a stretch, i think this is to throw off the base runners game, but i'm not sureR.I.P. Noticed at the beginning of a few games that I have played the "player to watch" the camera was on one player, the announcer said a different player, and the name of the player on the screen was completely different. Nothing that was going on matched each other.

Playing as several different teams in both offline and online exhibition and ********* games, the audio became corrupted. After the opening intro to the game, the crowd noise would stop and start and play as if it were in a loop and there would be no commentary. However, often the audio became normal again for about a half inning only to be corrupted again, etc. Often there will also be a crinkly static sound that sounds like a radio i between power lines. I did not do anything to trigger it.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
This first happened to me on March 31, and I had been playing it ever since the game came out on the 2nd. I had not picked up the game in two ***s, though. When I signed into the PSN, it told me that there was a mandatory software update, and I expected it to fix the problem, but there was no change. It is happening every game I play.Comment

I was just playing a game of The Show, up a run, 2 out in the ninth, 0-2 count, they have a runner on third. I throw a slider about a mile outside and the hitter somehow reaches it but it's just a routine grounder back to the pitcher then suddenly, just before the pitcher grabs it the ball is suddenly lifted from the ground, as high as a popup, like an act of God, no ball marker to see where the ball's coming down, if it's going to, tieing run crosses the plate before the ball comes down, finally, it drops in shallow center field and before I could get a fielder there to get it the hitter was standing on third with what basically amounts to an infield triple with on error on the play. I love this game but if I see a bug this bad again it may render it unplayable for me. I don't believe I did anything to trigger it, moreso the comeback code that supposedly doesn't exist. I doubt I'll recreate it as I've probably already played 100 games and this is the first time I've seen anything even remotely like this.

As I said, I've played probably 100 games and this is the first time I've seen it. Honestly, it gave me the same sick feeling I got when I tried out MLB 2K9 last year...Comment

I experienced this same bug/freeze in Franchise mode when I hit my 200th HR with Jose Guillen. It was a great 2 HR, 4 RBI game (in the 5th!) so I was quite irked when the replay kicked on and immediately locked up. I begrudgingly killed the power. Finally about 2 weeks later I hit #200, and held my breath...but it made it through the replay this time. The freezing game was @ Baltimore. Non-freezing @ Boston.Comment

I am playing as the Brewers. (away team) My opponent is playing as the Red Sox. (home team) I wasin the field. My opponent is playing on rookie mode. I am playing on all star mode. We are playing at the Polo Grounds. It's the bottom of the third inning. My opponent has a baserunner on first base with one out (Ellsbury). My opponent gets a base hit to the outfield (Pedroia is the batter) that is a gapper. My opponent's lead baserunner (Ellsbury) rounds third base heading home. My opponent's back runner (Pedroia the batter who hit the ball) rounds second on his way to third. I proceed to throw the ball to third base. I run towards second base & proceed to tag the runner halfway between second & third where he is coming toward me. The play ends. The run scores. It's now 2 outs with nobody on base, right?
Wrong, it's still one out & Pedroia is standing on second base. The run has scored. I am sitting there shocked. I go to the replay. Instead of seeing what actually occured on the field, I see this bogus replay of Pedroia sliding head first safely into second base. There is no rounding of second towards third. There is no defensive third baseman running the baserunner (Pedroia) down halfway between second & third & tagging him.
I don't know if I can recreate it.
