when getting ready to play a game, after choosing teams and lineups, when it goes to the loading screen, it will not load the game. happened to me in RTTS and while trying to play an online game. had to reset the system and try again. last night, had to do it 3 times before it loaded a game.

CPU had bases loaded the batter hit a base hit and the man on third never moved. Then the man on second ran by him and was tagged out out home.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Second time this has happend both occassions with the CPU.

Can't recreate it at will thankfully( at least not that I know). Both times it happened as the ball was in play about to be fielded. Once a ground ball at Wrigley down first base line and the other was at Tropicana field on a fly ball.
The bug is that my system crashes and shuts off. Screen goes black, red light comes on, 5 seconds later it goes off. I have to turn off the switch in the back and turn it back on(after I give it 5-10 minutes to be safe). When I reboot I get the warning about not shutting down properly.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

It has happened in 2 out of 10 exhibiton games. The first time was at Tropicana field. Haven't played there since. The second time was last night at Wrigley. I had played one game in exb. mode before at Wrigley and it completed the game fine.
Both times my system was not on very long. I have never had this happen with any other game. I played other sports titles after turning my system back on for 3-4 hours and everything went fine.
MLB10 will also sometimes reset my system when trying to quit the game and go back to the XMB.

When the home team is winning in the bottom of the ninth and gets 2 outs and 2 strikes the crowd doesn't " Get Loud " until the 2nd pitch after 2 strikes.

Had Johnathen Sanchez on the giants pitching, he got hrt and the bullpen screen came up, and the game froze. Could not do anything, had to reboot.
How often can the bug be reproduced?
Not sure, have not had my pitcher got hurt since...

When simulating seasons on my franchise with everything but trades on AUTO, i get to a certain date and a game will not be simmed or allow me to play it. Since this happens i am stuck on this date forever and can not progress.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

everytime i load up my franchise i cannot play or sim a minor league game on April 5 2012

Simulating in Franchise mode there are two problems. The draft is creating too many quality rated pitchers. Since SP demand the highest contracts it causes teams eat up all available payroll and you'll see highly rated players in FA with no one available to sign them.

The other problem is with the budgets themselves being too large. In 2010 the average team has over $40 million to add to their payroll. This isn't very realistic. When simulating the average payroll went from 88 mil in 2010 to 159 mil in 2016, once again not very realistic.

If the draft issue was fixed the payrolls would not have to escalate so rapidly and the budgets could/should be scaled down in the beginning.


I have attached an excel sheet with 2 work books, the first shows team the team budgets increasing and # of players rated B and above in FA. The second shows the number of players rated B and above by position and compares those numbers to the most recent roster update.
How often can the bug be reproduced?

Yes sim a franchise 5 years in the future.

1. Under the who's hot and who's not section of franchise, for pitchers, the description would say "Pitcher has really struggled over his last __ ," or "Pitcher was unhittable in his last __ ," Not showing how many games the streak has been accumulated over. Might occur in other modes too.

2. In franchise and and RTTS, in the loading screen where the teams ranks are shown (eg. comparing teams avg., hr, ks, era, etc.), the ranks are messed up for home runs. For example, Team A would have 30 HR and Team B would have 40 HR, but Team A would be ranked #1 and Team B would be ranked #3 or something like that. Might occur in season mode too.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

1. Every time you go into the screen.

2. Noticed it almost every time that specific loading screen shows up.

Drew ball four on a full count. I attempted to check swing on an inside pitch. Batter stayed up to bat.

Playin' @ PNC Park, & the ball was hit to CF against the wall, & the CF ran in place...like he was stuck in the doorway entrance to the bullpen for an inside the park HR. yes it happened twice.

When pitching sometimes there are pitches not counted for some reason. Like say count is 0-1 and the next pitch is fouled off it should be 0-2 but it still say 0-1. Not sure if it can be recreated, you really have to pay attention to the count when foul balls happen.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I've only see the odd time but its annoying when you need 4 strikes to strike out a guy.

Game freezes on game exit screen, blue bar never appears, just stays black.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Every 5-6 games.


This error seems to come up every year, and eventually get fixed. Why it keeps appearing is beyond me, but it is a DEAL BREAKER. This needs to be a priority in the next patch.

I have this happen frequently as well. I have noticed a symptom though. If the music ever stops playing/isn't playing, then this exit freeze will occur. This can either be in the menus or while in a game though the freeze won't occur until you exit a game. The music can be from the jukebox music or even the intro/opening of a game music where the announcers are supposed to be talking over it.

One time after noticing this trend, I noticed that the music stopped playing while in the menu and just decided to quit the game. I held down the PS button to quit the game as opposed to using the quick XMB access and the PS3 had to do that restart thing where it beeps 3 times. I would consider this to be related to the RTTS freeze issue.

I'm not sure if the music has to stop working for the freeze to occur but, if the music has stopped working, then it'll freeze 100% of the time.

I am in the field, cpu has man on 1st and 3rd. nobody out.

cpu hits line shot that strikes runner in head between 1st and 2nd and bounces back towards my pitcher.

cpu runner continues safely onto second, runner on third scores, and the batter also reaches first safely.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
first time i've seen it.
