Re: MLB '10: The Show Patch #2 is Available, Post Impressions Here
I believe it has to do with how you access your bullpen. if you select your bullpen thru select, the next time you hit select after that it freezes. If you use the pause menu for bullpen you should be able to hit select all day without issue. In the three times i played at the Trop prior to knowing about the freeze. That was the scenario each time.
What i would like to know- has anyone bothered with the music pass 255 slots as of yet?Comment

Agree with you, but the post you quoted is wrong. It won't freeze if you don't press select.
It only freezes after viewing your bullpen from the quick menu. If you access your bullpen from the quick menu, pause and then unpause the game. You will be able to press select without any issue.
Or, access your bullpen from the Start menu. Again, you're game will not freeze.
All this considered, I have every bit of confidence they'll come correct with this slight speed-bump in the road.Comment

Re: MLB '10: The Show Patch #2 is Available, Post Impressions Here
dunno if u guys noticed these but I can confirm they were fixed too:
1-Cacthers no longer get ruled an error on drop 3rd strikes.
2- The power vs left bar on the pitcher x batter screen is working properly now
Now, i forgot to check, but can we add wristbands over sleeves now on the editor?

Looks like indeed the ball markers for auto fielding are gone....
I purposely threw a meatball to the CPU, and it hit a HR that barely cleared the wall. I watched my player go back.....back....back......stop, and leap to try and rob the HR, to no avail. None of that red ring stuff that was there before.
Next pitch was a popup to LF, and just like real life, the outfielder got into position and caught it, with no spinning ball marker thingy to take away the suspense.
I have to go to work, so that's all I've seen so far.
Again, looks like the suspense is back for fly balls!Comment

Transactions, after simming through a few months of "normal" franchise mode (not controlling all 30 teams), seem much better.
-Trades seem realistic (although still a lot of them...nothing more than what you'd see in an online league though really)
-Players are being released and signed
-Players are being put on waivers
Although it still appears the AI does NOT call up players based on performance, with each trade, injury, and waiver processed it seems the team juggle things enough so that if there is an obvious choice to bring up, hopefully that player gets the call.
Proof? Jason Heyward started in AAA (well, at least spring training) and is now on the MLB roster with ATL with 165 AB's already through June 1st.
*****Through 2 months of simming, I have not seen the AI CLAIM a player off waivers yet. Has anyone seen this? I sure hope so!*****@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

@ Tater
There is an option in the gameplay settings to turn hot/cold zones on much like the strike zone. There may even be an option to set it to fade, but I don't recall.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
