jon lester, aj burnett, albert pujois, david price, jose reyes, cliff lee and every other MLB superstar would disagree.
you look at the trades that happen in real baseball and they are teams that suck trying to unload good players for prospects. Or good teams with shot trying to add a quality player to help the stretch run.
this game doesnt follow that philosophy at all. you see a team leading their division trying to unload their stars for minor league position players to backup their young studs already in the majors at those positions. Or you see a team not doing so well trying to trade a young player for some aging veteran. And most trade dont happen until closer to the trade deadline unless its a couple of worthless minor leaguers. and even thats rare
And the value is never good either. you see the Rays offering Price for some scrub 3B when they already have longoria.
If anyone that plays this game can sit here and say they think the trade logic in this game isnt horrible, then i appluad you for being an excellent fanboy of this game

) and I've seen maybe 20 trades? Haven't counted but that would definitely put it in the ballpark. And I can't think of one that I thought..."well thats just stupid" I've seen some that I scratched my head thought.."why did they do that" and then upon further examination, and further playing, it made sense/turned out to be a good move.
