I traded SP Shelby Miller, Felipe Lopez, and a B potential CP to Seattle for SP Cliff Lee. The Cards in real life are one of many teams interested in Cliff and Shelby Miller would be the main guy if the they were to pull it off. The only way i could do it is if I added the versatile Lopez who would surely help the Mariners. Do you think this was a pretty fair trade?

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
It sounds fair, but Felipe just doesn't sit right with me, only because the Mariners have all the positions he plays plugged up. I feel like the Mariners would have prefered another prospect, but hey, they liked it in the game, so obviously it'll help them. How is Jose Lopez doing in the game for the Mariners?MLB: St. Louis Cardinals

That makes the trade fair now IMO. Now the Mariners have a 2B to upgrade the poor production and two good prospects and you have another ace pitcher.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Ive ripped the Rays off something chronic.
Tigers (me) get David Price and Dioner Navarro
Rays get Alex Avila (A potential catcher)
They are struggling and almost out of the AL East race in mid-May, 15 games back, what their logic was i dont know because Price was only on 340k so they werent dumping salary, they get the better long haul catcher with some pop but of course i get an ace in Price, though he had been awful for them, 6.48 ERA through 8 starts, maybe thats why they were happy to let go?
In any case i dont mind, if the CPU GM of the Rays wants to make that deal ill take it.Comment

In game though, I know you can re-sign him which would make a great deal for you! What's with this chick? Does she have beer flavored nipples?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Now that the all star game is over, it is time for me to decide what to do as the deadline nears. I think that I am pretty set with my team, but one can never be too certain. My rotation has been solid, except for the Outman and Braden going down with injuries for a few weeks. I picked up Bonderman from free agency and recalled Mazarro. They should both be fine for the next couple of weeks. I will most likely keep Bonderman up as a spot starter/long reliever when they come back. The only way player I would like to add to my rotation would be Ben Sheets, but Boston is leading the league in wins so they won't give him up for prospects. My bull pen is also very well set. SO that leaves my lineup. I would really like to get either a 2nd baseman and/or a power hitting right fielder. I have Barton filling in at 2nd and I just drafted a stud there that may be ready in a year or two. So a half season rental with a shot at re-signing on a year to year basis would be ideal. Otherwise I will have to stick with Barton until my prospect is ready. As for right fielders, I am sure I could make it through the year with the Sweeney/Swisher/Buck combo, but with the pitching prospects I have in my system I wouldn't mind snagging someone of the Jason Werth caliber if at all possible. So any suggestions on those two would be great. Otherwise we just move on with the team we have and hope it will be enough to take on the Yankees/Red Sox.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I took a quick look at some RF players that might be available since their teams are well out of the hunt. Markakis looks good, and I can get him for any one of Andrew Bailey, Kurt Suzuki, or Brett Anderson. Zuk and Anderson are off limits. I have been thinking about what to do with Bailey, but I think that he is too much to trade for Markakis. I will most likely try to re-sign Bailey and get back to the Rollie Fingers era of great closer. I need to at least keep him through his arbitration years in order to get the draft picks right? I am not sure how that works. Perhaps someone else has more information on that. I also looked at Hunter Pence, but there is pretty much nothing I can give up to get him, despite the Astos being the only rebuilding team. I guess they want to rebuild around him, and rightly so. The same situation for Bruce. Justin Upton might be available, but he is on the DL and most likely won't get off before the deadline. The Rays have Dominic Brown in their system and may be willing to trade him if they can get back into the race before the deadline, but the Yankees and Red Sox don't seem to be letting up any time soon. I can't think of anyone else that would be much of an upgrade to what I already have, so I most likely will have to ride it out with what I have.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I don't think you'll get any draft picks until he can be a free agent and turn down arbitration. With the way the game values closers, you may not be able to afford him that long unless you can get him to sign long-term for less money. I played with Markakis some last year, and I really liked him. If you wanted to pick up someone cheap with some pop, Mather might not be bad. He can play OF and 3rd, and is doing well for me in a platoon role with Freese. If Freese or an OF went down with an injury, I wouldn't be afraid to stick him in the lineup every day.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
Yeah not going to trade within my division.
I thought about Mather, but he was traded to the Rays last year and unless they get back into the hunt I don't think they will give him up either. I will see what they want for him though. Perhaps they need some pitching for the futureComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I checked out Mather. I can get him for pretty much anyone I want to give up, and might do so, but he is D potential, plays LF and 1B only, and currently isn't any better than Swisher. I looked to see what else I could get with the Rays. A package deal of Bailey and Barton for Zobrist and Mather looked interesting. It would shore up second base, give Barton a place to play since they are stuck there with Blalock for now, get me Mather for next to nothing, and get something for Bailey (the Rays have no closer in MLB right now but do have a top draft pick in AAA) in case I decide to not re-sign him. After getting another save for me, I have to doubt that he won't be back. He is really the only pitcher, or even player for that matter, that I can count on to be effective 99% of the time he takes the field. 4 blown saves with nearly 70 converted in a year and a half is pretty darn good. Probably worth the $13 mil he wants.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I decided to start a new franchise with OSv3, because I wanted to do 30 team control to make things more even(facing the Braves and having Werth and Vladdy ahead of Heyward on the depth chart was kind of hard for me to comprehend, even though I am the biggest supporter of letting moves happen, but some teams had D overall RF, so I kinda wanna spread the lovin around). To begin, I made 3 trades:
Mets trade: Daniel Murphy
Pirates trade: Evan Meek(C potential, not like real life where he's AWESOME haha)
Mets trade: Jeff Francouer
Padres trade: P Jerry Sullivan(an average pitching prospect so I felt this was fair(
and I made a trade with 2 CPU teams
Red Sox trade: Mike Lowell
Twins trade: it escapes me exactly who, but it was a B potential pitcher
It's actually very fun now being able to fill other teams weaknesses with like actual realistic trades. I like alot hahaComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread**
I am new here and just started a Mariner Franchise with the OSFM V4 rosters. Has anyone started a Franchise with the Ms? I traded Ichiro and Bradley to the Braves for Heyward escobar and freddie freeman. I am seeing if anyone has trade recommendations or players to get for the Ms. I am not a fan of trading everyone right off the bat , but just wanted some suggestions. Thanks for the help!Comment
