I think the first thing to try for those of you who's game wont load since the patch, would be to delete everything that has to do with MLB '10 on your PS3...make sure you get the game data and everything.

Then try a fresh install.

Haven't read the whole thread, but I'm hating what this patch has done to my offense. I'm not a regular player, it had been 3 weeks since I last played a couple games in a row, having time to only play a game a week or so. After the patch, I had some free time, and so I started playing some games. The first couple games, my offense was non-existent except for some solo HR's, but I figured that was due to my timing being off on offense. After my timing was up to speed, I'm still having the same problems. It reminds me of last year's game where hitting was much harder that it is in this year's game, pre-patch at least.

I liked the more open offense that this year's game offered. I'm sure the hardcore guys who play the game a lot more than me wanted the offense to be harder, but for me it was perfect. I wish this game had options like the NHL series, where I can go and play the game the way it was before this patch.

It does seem like a lot of the little things have been fixed with the patch though. But for me, I don't play enough to really care about the little things, and I'm not a Ray's fan so the Tropicana field glitch didn't really affect me, so this patch has actually made the game worse for me. Then again, maybe the hitting isn't different at all, and it's just all in my head.

Agreed 110%. All of a sudden I can't hit a lick at the plate and my pitchers are getting ROCKED consistently no matter who is on the mound and no matter who I'm playing. There seems to be a built-in inning where the computer will put together a ridiculous inning and mount a comeback no matter what the score is. This was the same case in last year's game, but they actually fixed it. I've had to redo all my sliders and start from square one again just after I finally had found the right set and was getting fantastic results in my franchise until this update.

I was playing on All-Star hitting, HOF pitching...I think I honestly have to go back a level of difficult on each because the game has gotten just way too ridiculous.

lol, go to veteran if you are having trouble hitting. That has nothing to do with the patch.

Well, let's see. I was able to hit using the exact same sliders I have now before the patch, and now I can't. Hmm...I wonder why that could be??

Other people have had the same complaint, so it's not just me. The gameplay is definitely more unbalanced now compared to how it was before the patch.

If you really believe that then uninstall all the patches and start over. I personally think the complaint is silly though. Why is it I'm having no trouble hitting? I downloaded the same patch you did. I just got done playing a game where it was 2-1 going into the 8th inning and I scored 8 runs and won 10-1. I don't for a minute believe the patch has anything to do with your lack of hitting. This games has ebbs and flows. Some games you hit well, some games you don't. That's just the way it is.

Look, I don't know what to tell you. All I know is I've been using the same sliders before and after the last patch I've noticed a distinct difference in them. And again, I'm not the only one who has mentioned this problem.

I found the opposite. After the patch I had a 17 game win streak and still hit the ball a ton.

Perhaps they have already peaked, and can't get much higher? I ask the same thing about Verlander and Miguel Cabrera being a B. Brennan Boesch being a D. Kid is absolutely RAKING! A left handed hitter batting over .400 against LHP, and its almost AUGUST!
