What a coincidence! I just experienced the exact same problem as this user. By way of background, I'll outline my specifics below should they be required.

Whats the Bug? How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?

Hiroki Kuroda was pitching to Chase Headley in the top of the 4th inning in a scoreless game at Dodger Stadium. Pitch count went: Ball, ball, strike, ball, strike, ball (check swing) - first base umpire said he didn't swing, so by rights, Headley should walk. The count at the top of the screen read 4-2, yet Headley was still at bat. He grounded the next pitch straight at Kuroda who threw him out at first (in hindsight, I should have intentionally walked him out of fairness).

It would not have worked. The game will say ball 5, then ball 6, then ball 7 etc... But no matter how many balls you throw, the batter will still not walk.

Hit a comebacker to the mound that bounced off the mound and back to the plate and was called a foul. It should have been a ball in play. Then I should have struck out swinging, but they didn't count the foul as a strike. So basically it acted as if the comebacker had never happened.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
fist time I have seen it in over 400 games

Bunts or weak dribblers that are fielded by the catcher or pitcher and thrown to first base. The first baseman will make the catch and then nonchalantly step on the bag. No major league 1st baseman would ever have his foot off the bag when a ball is thrown his way. I have to assume this is an oversight, since the developers are clearly baseball fans that would also know this

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
Happens on almost every play that catcher or pitcher fields the ball near the plate. Only occasionally does it affect the outcome, as in sometimes the runner will reach first between the time the 1st baseman catches the ball and then steps on the bag.

Whats the Bug? How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?When I try to make a waiver trade after the deadline, the offer is immediately rejected. I'm using 30 team control and I cleared Jose Guillen through trade waivers, then tried to trade him to the Red Sox for a minor league pitcher. Once I make the offer then switch to the Royals and go to pending transactions, the trade offer is missing. This happens with every trade I try to make with any team.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
Everytime I try to make a waiver deal in August.

Hit a home run with Carlos Pena. The scrolling marque lists his career total correct, but his season total is the next guys. Example, "home run by Carlos Pena (25) 293 of his career". It should have read (19), but the 25 belonged to Adam Dunn. Same thing happened with Adam Dunn. It said (11) and 391 career. 11 belonged to the next batter.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
First time I have noticed it, but it happened three times in the same game. It only happens to players where the career total shows up.

Franchise mode

Bug:
With a runner on first. While waiting for pitcher to get sign from catcher hit the x button to do that little practice half swing If nothing happens when you hit the x button it will be a pitch out. This happens if you hit the x button BEFORE pitch is chosen. Once pitcher starts his motion it's too late.

Happens every time there is a runner on first and the cpu calls a pitch out.

If pitch out is not called then your batter can do that practice swing.

Yes, this happens to me in franchise too, without exception. I've never seen it not happen.

The only solution that I know of is to stop pressing X for the animation, so I don't have some unfair knowledge/advantage against the CPU.

Hard to not hit the X button while waiting. I try to remember but usually forget until it happens.

Sold this game a while ago because there were some things irritating me... but one I remember in particular:

Juan Pierre bunts down the 3rd base line and has it easily beat but gets thrown out.

I open up the replay only to show that Pierre physically slowed down, at least 3 to 4 steps, in order to get thrown out. Awful!

Another one I remember was having the bases loaded and the CPU hitting a ball between third/short and having the ball hit the baserunner and be ruled in play.

Hopefully these bugs were fixed.

I've had the non-interference call on a ball hitting runner too.

As for players slowing down... Happened to me several times but on deferse. My SS actually slowed down to let a ball get by him into left center. Happened more than a few times.

I'm a half dozen games into a new season with the SF Giants. Each time I go to the Free Agent page, the game immediately locks up and doesn't recover require me to reboot the PS3.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?
Has happened 3 straight times now - the only 3 times I've tried accessing the Free Agent page.

Any regular gameplay at Rangers Ballpark

The scoreboard has the team names flipped while the home team is batting (Example: I'm the Rangers playing against Blue Jays; scoreboard displays Rangers, Blue Jays while I'm batting). The names are in the correct position while the visiting team is batting. The scores remain in the correct position.

How often?
Any game at Rangers Ballpark.

I had a runner on 2nd and the pitcher throws one in the dirt and it scoots away so I send my runner to third (of course he pauses halfway there to try and get thrown out, PLEASE fix this), and the catcher cannot pick the ball up because he is running in place stuck against the batter. So I was able to just bring my runner home for a cheap run.

Can you recreate it? How often can the bug be reproduced?

I'm having the exact same problem at the end of my first season. I was able to make waiver trades if the player had passed waivers. But once I started the off-season, all of my trades don't show up in the proposal screen and then I receive an e-mail that the trade was rejected. I'm in the first week of November and can't make any trades with 30 team control.
