Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

-Better World Series/playoffs presentation. I think this might be the worst championship celebration in any current sports game right now. This must be improved for me.

-Playoff mode. Lots of people have requested this as well. I hate having to sim and sim Season mode over and over again to try to get the playoff matchups right.

-No lag online. I would love to play online, but the lag is just totally killing the experience. I'm never playing online again until this is fixed.

-Different/more commentary lines. The lines haven't been changed very much for the past couple of years. I don't think the commentators they have right now are bad, they just need some different lines.

-Better scouting system. The one that they have right now is pretty bland. It could be improved.

-More depth in RTTS. By this, I mean stuff like getting endorsements by companies, interviews and stuff like that. Also, it would be cool if you could use the money that you get from endorsements and the contracts that you sign for something. It would give you more incentive to try to get as much money as possible when negotiating your contract.

-Coach in RTTS. Kind of like the above point. You would have a batting or pitching coach, like in the Tiger Woods games, and they would give you tips on what you're doing wrong. You could then go into a specific drill or something like that for what you're not doing well.

-Easier roster control. I don't know about you guys, but when I try to change the rosters in the main menu, it seems to take a while with all of the things you have to change around. For example, if you put someone from an AAA team to your MLB team, you have to replace him in the lineup. If the CPU could replace him by default, that would be cool.

-Dynamic rosters. Like Chris posted in his blog, something like what the EA NBA series does with daily updates when big moves happen.

-Weekly recap show. Like what some other people have posted about, something like what they used to do in NFL 2K5. They could have some top plays (if they could even get highlights from games you don't play in), league leaders, standings, who's hot and cold, maybe even interviews with some players sometimes, a look at the draft when it rolls around, top prospects being called up, big transactions that are going on, injury reprots, etc.

-Trade deadline presentation. Kind of like what goes on in NHL 11, where they have the day's trades showing up on the screen and you have a certain amount of time to get in the last minute deals.

CAP in franchise would be an awesome addition.

        1. New next Gen graphics
        2. Ability to assign players as "face of franchise" or something like that so I don't see Jeter traded from the Yankees
        3. Online franchise with as few as two players and the ai controls all other teams
        4. Customizable division to recreate 1986
        5. Franchise sync with psp so I could play my franchise on the train
        6. Better playoff atmosphere

Really, if we had #3 alone I would never need another game :-)

Be able to create a new batting stance or pitching motion would be cool. May have to select from generic foot step but still.

Having a way to publish created ones is a must for those not having a ps move

What exactly does that mean ?

The way I see it, player models need a little alteration, but beside that, they're doin' what they can do with the limited amount of system memory in the PS3.

I'm sorry, but I don't think they can fix that. EVERY online game on the planet has lag. Maybe you should move your game system closer to your router?

Re: What do you suspect will B changed in '11?

I am still playing 2009. never got 2010 as it looked almost identical. I know improvments were more in the eye candy department. But gameplay from all that I have read remained virtually the same.

I will preface this post with how I play.

Veteran (slider set from the OS)
                  Pitcher view for pitching
                  Batters view for hitting
                  no hot zones
                  no strike zones
                  Guess Pitch/Location 1/4
                  Classic Pitching
                  Auto Fielding
                  Auto Throwing
                  Auto baserunning/stealing

My only issue with this amazing gem of a game has been the controls for fielding and Baserunning and the collision detection.

That would be a welcome improvement.

I love my pitching and batting duals so much that I let the cpu use the ratings to back me up in the field and on the base paths (running the bases is so clunky)

Just use MVP's 2005 base running controls! They were the best ever.

Fielding became so frustrating when it would select the wrong fielder and my outfielder would be flat on face as the ball rolled by.

Other than that this game is still being played!!!

I hope 2011 does something to make me upgrade. But 2009 is still going strong!

I think SCEA needs to program fielders closest to the ball to dive for the ball.
A hard hit ball in the hole between 3rd and Short can confuse the computer at times resulting in the leftfielder diving for gophers.

The guy with the controler in hand does not have time to choose the correct player so why not do something like this:

When a sharply hit ball is hit in the hole allow the computer to choose the player closest to the ball with a timed based window for our access.

First the 3rd baseman then the ShortStop then the left fielder we don't choose the player the computer does. what we do is choose the diving button at the apropreate time.

I say change diving or jumping to one button the direction of the dive is controled by the computer. This way if your dive is too late for the 3rd baseman you are not commited to the 3rd baseman diving in the corect direction and the shortstop diving away fron the ball.

If the computer has control of the timing of the opening of the window of the player closest to the ball plus the direction of the dive then all we do is hit a button for the timing of the dive.
No more shortstop diving away from the ball no more leftfielder diving for no reason.
WOW I wish I had the ability to explain it better.

                        I would like to see:

                        1) Classic teams and more classic uniforms (84 Tigers, 86 Mets)
--Even if most players are generic, allow ability to edit rosters and share roster files

                        2) The ability to choose jersey parts independently (choice of hat, jersey, pants)

                        3) More CAP options

                        4) Ability to import your created player from the year before

                        5) Ability to create a player and able to plug in career stats so they aren't always rookies

                        6) Dynamic weather (RAIN!!!, cold, heat, clouds) --

                        7) Some sort of MLB show (i.e. This Week in Baseball with music) set to weekly highlights from around the league (such as top 10 plays)

                        8) Re-vamp commentary

                        9) Day - night double headers
                        What?

Just a suggestion but if you are going to show replays when a pitch is fouled off of the catcher/umpires mask, maybe next year have the replay start from a point BEFORE the ball has deflected off the mask.
