I'm really hoping they'll implement more of a history for players. For instance, if you're in 2012 being able to look at a player card and seeing where they were playing in 2011, rather than just their stats. It'd be good to see how they arrived on that team as well (free agency? trade?). It doesn't have to mean you need any history prior to the game starting, just what happens during your franchise. Just another tab on the player card would do it.
I wanted to see where Ryan Garko had ended up after I traded him away from the Rangers, but I couldn't remember who I traded him to. Found him eventually and it turned out he'd been traded on again. Might even be worth having a search function, so you can find players without having to scroll through the team rosters.Comment

I don't expect but would like to have the ability to add lifetime stats to oldtime players we create.

1 thing I would like to see added is real minor league players if possible. Not sure if they could get a MILB License for that but it would be nice if they could. Also more realistic pitcher appearances in a season be fixed because from what I have found it seems to be flawed. The game is a great game and all the things that were added in 10 is real nice. I think 11 will be a more polished game in all aspects and should be the best yet.Comment

That would be great if they got the MiLB License. I've never seen a game with them though. So is it even possible?MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox
NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers, Seattle Seahawks
NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues
NBA: Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors
College Sports: Pittsburgh Panthers, Penn State Nittany LionsComment

There is no such thing as an MiLB association or union.
No company is going to negotiate with minor league players individually.....and I don't think SCEA is going to invest too much time with minor league players anyway.

Dear Sony,
would you please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!, give us an option to use some NORMAL baserunning controls. Both options in the game right now are horrible. I am so sick and tired of the baserunning controls costing me runs/games because of stupid stuff happening when I can't input the correct fatality combo to make my runners go where they need to.
Just at least give the option to use basic controls like old baseball games used. PLEASE.
^^^^^^ This.
It is really my biggest pet peave in an otherwise amazing game (Play the show 2009 still never bought 2010). MVP 2005 had the very best baserunning/Stealing controls ever. Very simple to use and I rarely had any mistakes if ever. I use auto run and steal because the controls are just so clunky and non user friendly. It is a cluster **** of a control scheme in that regard.
I am only in my second season of 2009 so I have yet to see too many bad AI GM moves although I have seen a few shockers...so I can only imagine what I am in for reading all the posts here when I get to season 3 or 4. I allow the CPU to do all my scouting, staff management, finance management and workouts for all my players (I just don't have that kind of time). So I can't comment on those aspects. I only handle free agents, drafts, Rule 5, basically all roster management including minor leagues.
The collision detection too is really bad on the base paths for such a smooth beautiful looking game. That needs to be fixed big time.
Other than that I can't really complain. It is just such a joy to play The Show 2009. It was one of the main reasons I went and got the PS3!Last edited by Todem; 09-07-2010, 02:39 PM.Comment

Not sure if this has been posted but I would like to see the ability to play a 2 player season online. (where only 2 people are needed to play an online season)
I would also like to see the orange(ish) fielding glove in the game.Attached FilesLast edited by Big Shmooz; 09-07-2010, 08:42 PM.Comment
