First flyball error in over 200 games!!

Just played my 161 game of the season and Travis Snider dropped a routine fly ball. I really though there were not flyball errors in this game until now. I have proabably played over 200+ games this year and this is the first error like this I have seen. It was actually scored an E7 as well. Here's the video. It's good to know that outfield errors have been coded in this years game, they should just occur a little more freqently. I was absolutely mistified when it happened. I had to see the replay just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

I've only seen one.

Check this: It happened during the first game I played after buying/unwrapping it. Seriously. I've yet to see it since.

I've seen a few. But one cool thing I saw last night for the first time: I hit a ball that was headed over the fence in right field at Angel Stadium and the CPU right fielder jumped up and robbed it, but when he landed he lost control of the ball and it fell over the short fence and into the crowd for a homer.

I can honestly say I have yet to see a dropped fly ball this year. I've seen a flyball here and there get carried by the wind and end up dropping, but I've never seen one flat out dropped.

I'm at about game 150 in my season and I think I've seen that once...I use AUTO fielding.

I did see a weird one today...routine fly ball to center and my CF broke in on the ball and kind of "wiggled" around front/back and left/right a bit and the ball ended up landing about 10 feet past him and rolling to the wall...it was a really bad time in the game for it to happen. I just chalked it up to a ball lost in the lights or something like that.

A dropped routine flyball is extremely rare in real life. So I'm fine with hardly (actually, never) seeing one in The Show. It's better than having some random dropped fly ball in a crucial situation.

Bingo, we already have numerous threads about AI comeback and errors. Could you imagine the **** storm if dropped fly balls happened more than a few times a season, like I said earlier NO THANKS

I'm actually beginning to wonder if some of the people who have posted in this thread have actually watched more than a few games of real baseball. I've watch, on average, 180 games a year (not including postseason) and have been watching since at least 1995. I can honestly say, I've seen less than 30 dropped fly balls that weren't messed with by the wind or by the sun. If the fielder doesn't take their eye off the ball and look it into the glove, they won't drop it.


And yeah, this place would be going crazy if there were too many dropped fly balls. It seems like there is no way to make the people happy. People just want to complain.

Dropping a routine flyball is one thing (this should be rare).

What I would like to see is an animation for balls that get lost in the sun, this would be awesome to see. All of a sudden your out/infielder starts to crouch down with his glove shadowing his eyes, as his body starts to sink to the ground, along with the baseball inevitably closing in on him!!

I've seen more routine flyball dropped in the real games I've watched this year (50-60 games) that in my 600+ games in 3 years of The Show.
