I agree with what you are saying, but the MLB doesn't want "showups" in the game much like they don't want "brawls" in the game. Its all about an image they are trying to convene and its not just grown ups that play this game.

I would be embarrassed to post all the bad things that I have uttered, shouted, and exclaimed at the virtual umpires in the Show. Oh and Woody Keller, I truly apologize for that thing I said about your wife. It was totally uncalled for.

Isn't there a toggle switch in the Gameplay menu that has to do with arguing a call or something?

The only option is whether or not you want ejections. But there is no option for arguing calls.

Yes, MVP had it close. I think you could contol the intensity of your argument by how rapidly you pushed the button...heck, even Earl Weaver Baseball had it back in the late 80's.

I think it would be a cool addition, and I also think that if the manager got tossed, they should let the CPU take over all your lineup/pitching decisions.

I usually play after everyone has gone to bed around here, so I'm pretty quiet. I got into a bad habit of vocalizing my displeasure over the summer when the kids were up later or had gone out...some of it got pretty 'colorful' Now that they are back in school and in bed early I'm really having to bite my tongue lol

I forget what game it was but if your manager got tossed you had no control over managerial decisions. Maybe that was MVP.

Yeah I was watching the Yankees-Tigers game and when Jim Leyland came out arguing about our pither not being tossed for throwing at his batter, I could hear what he said on TV because the cameras were so close, something about the ****in' playoffs and how the umpires are the ****in' reason the Tigers aren't in the hunt. There were no bleep outs.

it was, but even if it wasn't...who cares?

Just ignore and continue with the discussion.

I just yell at the TV and throw stuff at my dog...

Not sure if I'd even want a gameplay option for something like this. I dunno... I guess maybe if was implemented in the right way. To be honest, I could really care less about this one.

I'm sure you might now this, but it's impossible to bleep live television.

I realize that, but what I'm saying is that if children can listen to the managers say the F word during the game, then they should be able to argue with a manager in video game if they want to. I'm not refering to everyone on here as children, just the earlier post that said younger kids play this to. Please take no offense.

You have to realize that the MLB doesn't want people to be able to hear managers drop the F bomb during a game. But it happens. I'm not sure you remember, but a few years back, Dennis Green, the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, when on a tirade during a post-game press conference. Unfortunately, a lot of people, including myself, were watching it live. The NFL obviously didn't want to see a coach act like that, but you really can't control what goes on live television. What you can control is what happens during a video game or a re-run of the aforementioned press conference, which needless to say, was bleeped.

Nobody is saying that you shouldn't be able to argue in the game because children play the game. The point, at least I made one which you may be referring to, in regards to children playing was in the thread about brawls/fights.
