Re: Two weeks
I know they are working on the presentation....especially the ticker. I am VERY anxious(and excited) to see what Ed Brady and his crew have come up with. Believe it or not...last year was a VERY late addition of this(the ticker itself). I think they did an awesome job considering that.

Re: Two weeks
A few major thins about the Player Card:
1) More stats that carry over from year to year (you have this listed already, but this should be the core stats including SB's)
2) Minor League stats carry over from year to year (it's very hard to keep track of who I want up and down if I can't see what they did in year's past)
3) The picture of the player that actually looks like the player (for instance, if he's a left handed hitter, having hitting left handed in the action shot). If he wears his pants baggy, show the baggy pants.
4) superimposed updated hats on the player's picture. This can't be that hard to do since they did it in ASB 2005! I hate playing a game in 2013 where Manny Ramirez is still wearing a Dodger hat.Comment

Re: Two weeks
I"m a MOM player and I was told to come to this thread and post some suggestions for this mode. Might be too late but in future years I'd really love to see this mode get a lot of love. Just some ideas.
Since we are the manager and in charge of running the team instead of doing the actual playing. How about a team chemistry bar the let's us (and the owner) know how well we are running our team. This would show us how well we are keeping everyone happy and if the players on our team like playing for us.
Maybe there could also be a mode that takes it one step further, how about a GM only mode? Where you are in charge of hiring a full scouting department, being able to go out and watching High School and College games in preparation for the draft, being able to scout other teams minor league games, having an offseason winter meetings where you meet with other GM's to discuss potential player movement, etc. There is a lot that could be put into a mode like this but these are just a few ideas.Last edited by Braves Fan; 01-08-2011, 07:16 PM.Comment

Re: Two weeks
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but please check they have fixed the on-field appearance of Dodger Stadium. In 2010, the dirt around the bases was pristine and was exactly the same, regardless if it was top of 1st or bottom of 9th. Annoying as I play 50% of games there!Comment

Re: Two weeks
Knight...
Last year at times during the season, a cpu controlled team would make a roster move and then would subsequently do one of the following:
*Start a pitcher in back to back games
*start a middle reliever with low stamina
Can you check to see if these have been addressed.
Thanks, have a safe trip and enjoy. Oh and leave the snails alone.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Two weeks
Something just popped in my head earlier in the day and it's been something that I've always wondered about for a while.
The past several years during offseason progression, players improved with all their ratings going up by the same amount (i.e. +4 across the board, +6, etc). I was wondering if the progression for MLB 11 has changed from past years, where a player might improve 5 overall through improvements in contact, discipline, vision, and clutch ratings, or accuracy and fielding in comparison to other ratings (as in the points aren't evenly distributed). It would be nice to a progression system like that.Last edited by BatsareBugs; 01-09-2011, 03:45 AM.Comment

Re: Two weeks
Okay, sorry this really does not have much to do with franchise, but I have to ask if you could have the team look into this and see if it is possible.
When playing the show, a new batter comes to the plate and the stat overlay is always up before the first pitch. When you watch a real broadcast, sometimes there is not time to put the stats up and then they will do it after the second pitch, or maybe a pitch after that. Wondering if this would be a possibility to vary this throughout the game.
I am really not sure why this bothers me but it would be cool if they could make this happen.Comment

Re: Two weeks
sorry for the double post but something else just popped in my head, going on the same topic as my last one with stat overlays.
I think that it would be cool if they could have the start of the game overlays (lineups, defensive positions, and pitcher stats) to popup after the first batter or in between pitches to the first batter, or so on.... anything to make it more like a real broadcast.
Obviously I wouldn't want one pitch thrown and then have all three of the overlays pop up before the second pitch, but you could show the pitchers stats before the first pitch and then after the first batter show the lineup and then Matt could say something like " well you just saw Jeter and now here is the rest of the Yanks lineup" or something along those lines. Then have the defensive position overlay pop up some other time. Just vary them every game.
This probably won't make it in this year, but maybe for the future.
Thanks Knight, have fun and I hope your fingers are in shape.Comment

Re: Two weeks
Okay..
I've got all these printed out.
I will get to all of them.....I'm pretty sure...but I'll be starting with the franchise issues first...then franchise additions(if possible)...then go from there.
I'll be popping in the next couple of days..so if you do think of something franchise related put it here anyway.

Re: Two weeks
Oh, did I already ask about the confidence meter sticking when loading an in-game save file?
LOL... I'm just playing.
Have a great time Knight. We are in the best of hands with you as an OS community representative.Comment
