I think the main complaint (aside from Rex, which has obviously been addressed ) is that the structure has been the same for several years, in that Matt gives the play by play line, and Dave or Rex followed it up with something. There wasn't really any cohesion between them. I think the CD guys were saying they've started to make inroads on dealing with this by bringing Karros on, so we'll see how it sounds this year. That's not going to be a 1 year project though.

Agree that the Show's situational commentary is second to none - no game does better at giving specific details of exactly who is involved in what type of play. I'd much rather have that than hear some story about player x game after game.

Yeah, they may not interact as well as they coudl, but as you said, I wouldn't want to hear the same rehashed stories told over and over that would get stale after a few hours of gameplay. Granted I haven't put a ton of hours into MLB 10 but I still get the occasional thing pop up situationally that I find quite unique or haven't heard before.

does the game fade out custom music for you or does it just cut if off if you dont edit it down yourself?

can you have multiple songs for each event? (batter intros, strikeouts, stolen bases etc) is it just one song that you select or an album of several songs for any one event?

You guys should rent NBA 2k11 and check out the commentary on that game. Its unparalelled in my opinion. With commentary like that, The Show would be unbelievable!

You guys should rent NBA 2k11 and check out the commentary on that game. Its unparalelled in my opinion. With commentary like that, The Show would be unbelievable!

While it is pretty good initially, once you play the game more it becomes repetitive. When playing with the Thunder I got tired of hearing about their practice arena being a former roller rink. I swear they said that every home game. Anyways I don't think sports games will ever completely nail it with commentary. The only way I think you could is to add more and more commentary through dlc. That way, you could update it with what was going on in the regular season, keeping stories fresh.

While it is pretty good initially, once you play the game more it becomes repetitive. When playing with the Thunder I got tired of hearing about their practice arena being a former roller rink. I swear they said that every home game. Anyways I don't think sports games will ever completely nail it with commentary. The only way I think you could is to add more and more commentary through dlc. That way, you could update it with what was going on in the regular season, keeping stories fresh.

Youre so right! I actually just noticed that playing with my Knicks franchise. I would welcome DLC commentary in a heartbeat. Heck, I would pay for it if it was extensive enough. SCEA seems like the only DEVS that would consider that. I wonder if they ever looked into DLC commentary. I think we are on to something here! haha

What they need is record your own commentary, I would love to hear my voice in the game or what if I had an mp3 recording of the team's broadcasters broadcasting and I recorded that to play in the game. It could work like sounds of the show too. Do it Sony!

Beyond repetitive, annoying!!! Really enjoyed it at first, but while playing with the Kings had to turn it off as I do with all sports games commentary.

I saw and downloaded the quore episode and the feature on MLB 11 The Show. It was great they talked about the new controls in the game and the other features as well. I can't wait to get the game from amazon.com March 8th can't come soon enough. Great job SCEA.
