And then after you put out your rosters I could copy that player for all the Mark Priors or others in the minors that you create that technically are rookies. I just am talking about trying to replicate as close to I can the service time so that veterans are not winning Rookie of the Year and that they are free agents at the end of the season.
    Okay...
    We'll have to see.
You don't have to use the Vault to move a player from your HDD to your roster(it's like a roster save....it can be moved there by a USB drive...or just from on roster on your HDD).
I just don't know if it's just that we can't put SCEA players into the vault..or that we can also not import them into a different roster as well.
    I'm hoping just the Vault.

I could have sworn Kolbe said the SCEA (MLB) players built from the ground up could not be exported at all. Only overwritten with created players.

But I do hope just the vault as well.

I would say...without the bar...or at least to have the option to shut off the bar...and add in the opposing GM responding to your FAIR offer(which I think shutting off the bar would force you to do...make a fair offer) with a "well it's not quite enough...we're looking for..."a good young pitcher with a future(an A/B rated SP)"...."a MLB ready SS"...."a vet with a big bat off the bench"..."a better package of prospect"...etc...would be better than just the plain bar IMO.

I'm with you on this one...but I think it may be nice to enter the trade screen, and have a listing of generic wants AND players the team really wants.

Every year and offseason, some GM's specifically request players in certain trades. I use the O's trade for Reynolds as an example. (I'm an O's fan, living in the AZ and I am very good friends with a couple guys who work for Kevin Towers...so this is true). The DBags explicitly told McPhail that Hernandez was a must have in the trade. The O's pulled the trigger.

It's be nice to know, right up front, that you should or shouldn't waste your time if the comp team has a specific want.

Out of curiosity since you are the Roster Jedi Master, what do you think the benefit would be to pulling them to the XMB? Not overwriting them, so they are there for re-insertion to the roster file? Or to get them to someone else via internet and USB?

I'd love something like this. This way you have an idea what teams you can trade with other than just spamming trades or monitoring the interest bar.

I try m best to play sim but when I need to trade for a 1B, I basically load up who I can get rid of and then start fishing for the best 1B available based on interest bar.

I was thinking that the restriction wasn't actually exporting them...but putting them in the Vault.(hoping).
This way....when SCEA had it's updates...you could download the entire roster...export the guy you want from the update(which wouldn't have all the other players you want on it)...and import him into your set.

I don't get it. The mode is still one of the deepest in the gaming world, and with much improved budgets and trade logic it is even better. Not to mention the countless of other upgrades. The gameplay in general, it is a whole new game.

I will say, '10 was great, but inferior in almost all accounts to '11.

(better models, better lighting, better stadiums with unique jumbotrons, better ball physics, better fielding by far, better rtts, better sports ticker, better online, better league structures, player vault, fantastic analog controls, better stts features, better trade logic and budgets which was the main franchise complaint overall, better osd menu layout, better addition to the commentary team, overall much better game, and that is just a few things mentioned)

I guess some are not hardcore into baseball games enough, yet they expect hardcore changes to a single mode which can not warrant it every year. No game will. This game spins all year round for me, and sometimes I feel I waste my $60 on other games that sit on the shelf cause of this one. So much so, a game would have to be like G-d of War, Killzone or Uncharted type to get it day one, since this game takes up 90% of my gaming time.

There is no way I could play '10 since the CE. Not after playing '11. The game is too much of an upgrade to miss out. It is the biggest jump the series ever seen IMO.

To each their own I guess.
Is there ANYTHING negative about this game?
