Plus, for those who don't like it, turn it off. Not to sound snobbish, but what does it matter to anyone else what I like? I pay the same $60 everyone else pays.
LOL, no offense taken. I'm actually ambidextrous, but it probably would give me more grief because there is less of a disconnect between R and L.

Anyway, the method you described isn't necessarily LS aiming (at least not in real time) - then of course you'd have to worry about the opponent pitching "away" from you... but like you said, what does it matter what you like? (no offense) LOL

    Edit: sorry Pared.

I've tried it and it was what I expected. I didn't power up all the way and had more yellow than green, but operator error was the cause of it. I'll be on Legend across the board. Just a glutton for punishment.

Short impression, but an impression nonetheless:

Didn't see it posted, but the helmet-holding while rounding the bases (all the time, anyway) is gone from real-time presentation.

How do I know? Because I just hit my first analog Home Run with Josh Hamilton!

          Noticed it as well...

**I still think that they need to have the player giving a 'high-side-five' to the 3rd base coach on his way to home-plate - THIS ALMOST ALWAYS HAPPENS in the MLB.

          What'ya think?

I just played and lost a 14 inning 3-2 game with the Giants. 154 pitches with Lincecum lol. I saw Young, Blanco, Murphy, Davis, and Treanor off the bench and O'Day, Feliz, Rhodes, Francisco (should be on Toronto), and Oliver out of the 'pen for Texas. Any questions? And has anyone else gotten this many innings? I was pitching on all-star and batting on rookie. I'm god awful at hitting, but pretty good at pitching.

I'm currently in the 7th inning of a 0-0 tie where i've done all the batting and Lincecum has 15K's and C.J. has 9. This is beyond struggling. I'm lucky to make contact. Oh joy.

Damm I am killing myself on HOF analog fielding. I barely move the stick and is always errors. I committed 4 in one inning. LOL

I am good with the pitching and to some extent the hitting on HOF. I get smashed at times but I can handle it

The fielding is hard. I had to drop it to All Star.

                I hate buttons...LOL

I really wish they had included an option to use the Left Analog Stick for batting with Analog.

                    HOF batting? Analog?

If so, congratulations. Seriously, I can't imagine HOF hitting right now.

I think that may be something SCEA could expand upon in later versions - I'm sure they've already thought that out and tested it out. This is their first year ANALOG, so don't be surprised if that's in the years to come.

I can now smash with the Rangers, but struggle with the Giants. Doing nothing but hitting I won the last game 4-0 with Texas.

I really think the key to hitting with the stick is getting down the strides of your players. May just be, but when even I got comfortable timing up with the Rangers hitters I started hitting it with solid contact consistently.

                        I rake with Kinsler.

Looks better and better the more that I play

I am using HOF level for everything now (Analog hitting, pitching and throwing) and am able to win on a pretty consistant basis (won 3 games in a row). Didn't take me long at all to get used to the new controls. Analog throwing took me the longest, but i've got it pretty much down now. Only make an error once every couple of games. I've played about 25 games are so now. Took me a good 10 games to really start to feel comfortable with the new controls. Thinking of trying Legend pitching, mind you Lincecum and Wilson are both #1 pitchers so it may be much more difficult with #4 and #5 starters once the full game is released. I played HOF level for batting and pitching last year too.

looks like i will be using analog pitching, which i think is a lot of fun, and traditional button hitting/fielding. i'll give it more a try soon, but i didn't have a good feel for the game using the new analog controls for hitting/fielding.

one thing i noticed is it was a lot easier for me to control where pitches were spotted with analog pitching; for example the 12-6 curve which i couldn't control well in previous games, is a lot easier to control now with analog controls.

love zito's new delivery, and the new models, but no striped socks for zito makes me sad.

I've played a couple of games so far and I like what I see.

                              The good:

I sent Aubrey Huff from first to third on a medium-depth hit to right field. The RF came up throwing to third, but the throw was slightly to the side of third base, causing Beltre to step off to make the catch. He managed to dive back over and tag out Huff, but the way this play worked out is a great improvement; in the past, both user and AI throws seemed to go straight to the baseman.

I love that you can finally make plays at the plate thanks to strong, realistic throws from the outfield. No more soft tosses well up the line (unless you make a throwing mistake, that is).

It seems like the AI pitcher throws an appropriate amount of balls on All-Star without any need to adjust the sliders.

It also seems like we won't have to lower the fielder reaction down to zero this time around; fielder reactions seems to be perfect on the standard setting.

                              The bad:

I'm having a lot of trouble achieving lower pitch speeds and softer breaking balls by moving the right stick up slowly on my pitches. If I'm unable to master this, I might just go back to the meter, which I always liked anyway. Otherwise, analog pitching is great.

By the time 11: The Show comes out, I'll have played as the Giants and Rangers so many times that I won't want to use them ever again the entire year
                              Let's Go Bucs!!

Don't you think there should be some sort of threshold? I mean, I wouldn't want someone throwing 94mph FB then breaking off a 62mph breaking ball when they aren't capable.
