That list is ridiculous.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. So next year you hope for a feature called...Do nothing and put the controller on the table feature. Made exclusively for those that want to do nothing that requires them to actually play...I see cool thenComment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
Wow. How about with guys not rated one of the highest in K/9? There's no way you're doing that with Arroyo...or are you?
What team are you playing against? Perhaps that could explain it.
Maybe you should jump into Franchise and see if your numbers mellow out. I'd assume if this was a major issue amongst all users, some others would post it.
Cardinals
Cubs
Astros
Going to start up a franchise tonight. It could very well just be that my years of Tiger have prepared me well for the new analog controls (I am also playing on HOF fielding analog and my only throwing error was from wild thing Gomes missing the cutoff man by a mile and I have heard most people really struggle with HOF analog fielding). My average with Arroyo is just under 10 which I still think is a bit high. The cpu ai struggles with his 12-6 curve and I use it as my 0-2 or 1-2 put away pitch. I will probably run through my rotation 2-3 times in franchise before I adjust anything.
Outside of the cpu contact I haven't seen anyting that for me requires any major slider adjustments outside of maybe outfielder arms. I haven't failed to throw anyone out yet but that could very well be because I hit the cutoff in realistic situations and only go after guys that shouldn't be taking an extra base. The game plays a very sim game right out out of the box.
Wth respect to someone asking earlier about power numbers, I have seen an average of a homerun a game, but most if not every single time that has been a reault of a mistake pitch. Analog hitting is very easy to capitalize on a hanging breaking ball or a get me over fastball. And if you put anything near the heart of the plate or in a power hitter's hot zone they are going to take you deep.Last edited by Dogslax41; 03-06-2011, 09:23 PM.Comment

Dogslax, good call with jumping into franchise. With streaks, you'll get a better idea.
I think you're superhuman ability with the Right-Stick could very well be getting you K's at your current rate! LOL
Your post about fielding on HOF and only having one error proves it!...Not really, but you are clearly better at the stick than most of us, that's for sure.
Could you keep us posted on your progress?Comment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
how have yall been scoring/getting scored on...
scoring seems pretty evened out as ive had my share of homeruns as well as driving in runs w/singles, doubles, and my one and only triple
as far as pitching it seems like all i give up is homeruns....one game i lost 10-8(all on homeruns by the nationals) and another game i lost 3-2( 2 of the runs came off bombs) and right now im tied 3-3 in the 10th(two-run bomb and solo shot)
idk if its me or what but seems like im givin all my runs up on HR's
just seems like i've been givin up way too many bombs this yearComment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
I also like the ability to play the game where the player ratings come into play more than my "stick" skills.
