Is there a way to fire coaches or scouts? I simmed to the offseason and saw no way to do either. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
Luckily, this year I was able to buy a ticket pack to a few Cardinal games and I plan on taking my camera so I can take pictures of what I need to be in the game. This way I don't have to rely on google and pray that I can find a picture of what I am looking for.
This year, everything I complain about at Busch Stadium will have a picture of how it looks in real life and a good one at that.
Trust me, they love that stuff. It is hard for them to get out to all the stadiums and get pictures of updates, and some are very inaccessible, even for them.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
Quick question regarding classic pitching. The in-game guide says that the longer I hold the button, the stronger the pitch will be. Does holding the button past the vibration effect accuracy or stamina? If not, could I hold the button until the ball is well out of the pitcher's hand and get the same result as if I timed it with the vibration, or does the vibration not matter at all?
I hope this is the correct thread. I didn't want to make a new one for such a small question.Comment

Man, my TV settings must be off, because this game has a "washed out" look to it. Anyone have some recommendations as far as Contrast, Color, Tint, etc. for where I should have my TV set? I have a 32-inch Samsung 720p and it is set to Game Mode.Currently Playing:

Also, with a Sammy that size, you may be able to get away without using game mode and not hurting your experience with input lag. It's worth a try at least.

Are you using HDMI? If so, make sure your RGB Range in your PS3 Video Settings is set to FULL... also, if you suspect it could be the TV, you could look up recommended calibration settings for your particular model on one of the audio/video forums.

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
Quick question about hitting...
I play on veteran with just timing hitting. When I play the game it shows you know, power swing square, contact swing circle, and on the other side it says R2 for guess pitch and something else. Now, I just use X to swing and nothing else because I figured if I'm just using timing I don't need all that other non sense but all those other buttons show on the screen.
My question is... do I need to worry about all that other stuff that's on the screen or can I just use the X button for swinging? Or do I have have to use the guess pitch and what not to hit better? What's with this chick? Does she have beer flavored nipples?Comment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
No, you don't have to use Guess Pitch. You can turn that Off in the Options. As for swinging, X is the default "normal" swing. You can use O for Contact, which is helpful if you're in a 0-2, 1-2 count. Power I will use on 2-0 or 3-1 counts with guys that have good power ratings. But, if you just stick with X, you should be fine.
Thanks man, the only other thing is I did turn off guess pitch but it still shows up on the screen. Either that or I missed something. What's with this chick? Does she have beer flavored nipples?Comment
