Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread

I think I've asked this question every year since '06 and I still can't figure it out...

I'm using Classic baserunning. I have runners on first and third. How do I make JUST the runner at first steal?

The instructions in the manual are for Default baserunning and result in both runners being sent. Anything that uses L2 will send both runners, I believe. Any help?

Are you ever able to change your position in RTTS once you pick it?I've never seen it happen.

I can't remember what it's called but I saw on the page where you can communicate with your manager it says something about asking for a position change.

You can ask it on the interaction screen, but the answer from your manager is always no. I was just wondering if anyone had been able to change it once they ask the manager.

Ohhh ok. So it's like when my kids ask for peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches in their lunch. They can ask, but the answer will always be no.

            I've never tried myself.

I would imagine the graphics and visuals are 1000 times better on the PS3 version.

You are not kidding. I played maybe 15 minutes of the game & had to turn it off, Thats how ugly looking the ps2 version is ( played on the ps3 )

Biggest difference is probably just graphics. I imagine all the feature are the same for both.

I have a question about the fielding camera views in this year's game. Last year the camera views were closer to the fielders when the ball was put in play when on playing defense. This year the views seem to a lot farther away from the outfielders/infielders. Any help or am I just nuts? Thanks

Out of curiosity, what does the class type mean when you are drafting players?

I see; HS, 4 yrs, 2 yrs an etc..

I assume it's how many years in college but a 19 year old listed as 4 yrs threw me off so now I'm curious as to what I'm really looking at.
