Make sure you check out the mlb.tv site so you're aware of what teams are blacked out in your area. This is something that depends on the geographical location of your IP.

Yeah, this policy is about as stupid as the NFL blackout policy. I would happily buy MLB.tv in a second but if my local team is blacked out then what's the point? I'm really disappointed with MLB's blackout policy. Heck I'd pay more than the $120 they're asking for it if I could watch my local team. Even if my "Olivo-Cust" lead Seattle Mariners don't win more than 65 games.


With that being said, I'm looking forward to testing out the service with the free offer, matter of fact I went to Gamestop yesturday to "pre order" my copy so I did get the free offer. According to Gamestop the code will be printed on the receipt...that remains to be seen since I haven't picked up my copy yet.

Well, I just picked up the game and I don't see the MLB.TV code anywhere on the receipt.

There's a ton of numbers on it. Anyone of those could be the code, maybe.

EDIT: Eh, I got the game installing now. So excited! I could care less at the moment.

It is on the receipt, right after the balance. It also lists the website to go to for you to redeem the code.

Yeah, the blackout rules are a pain. I'll probably wind up watching my Mets games live and then picking up the Rockies games 90 minutes after its over. I'm pretty good about avoiding scores.

I hope Olivo does well for the M's. I liked him a lot in CO last year and was hoping they would bring him back. He had a great 1st half of the year but tailed off the last month.

So I Went and pre-ordered only to have gamestop reserve 2k11 instead, after we got it all sorted out i realized that I am obviously not considered as a pre-order customer, didn't notice until I got home that they screwed that up, and am without a code. Is anyone not planning on using their code and could PM it to me? I know its a long shot, esp. since I am much more of a lurker than poster here, but figured it'd be worth a shot... and deeply appreciated. If not not biggie, been meaning to get my first post outta the way anyhow... GO TIGERS!

If you go in to redeem it the website tells you it will be good from now until April 30th. If you wait until April 1, it is only good for April.

Just don't do like I did and try to redeem it today since you have to log into PSN to activate it.

I redeemed mine last night and today I watched the Astros get beat by the Mets and now I'm watching the Dodgers and the Mariners. Both games look great. I checked out the Indians game too but it looked like it wasn't in HD. I'm glad I pre-ordered the game to get this.

nothing is working on my end. I followed the instructions exactly. Now when i log in to go watch a game it says I have no subscriptions, and when I try my code again it says it's already been used.

it's probably a Canadian thing...

Picked up my copy yesterday in Toronto and there was no code on the receipt.

I asked about it and the guy picked up a yellow sheet of paper with a bunch of numbers written on it (those were the codes) and cut one out LOL

there were about 10 other numbers cut. I'm assuming they did not receive enough to fill the pre-orders, so if you don't ask for the code, you don't get one...
