Ah. Okay. MLB TV is like NFL Sunday Package.

Almost. Extra Innings is the equivalent of NFL Sunday Ticket. Cable companies provide Extra Innings and NFL Sunday Ticket and they can only be watched on TVs through your cable provider.

MLB.tv is internet based so you can watch it from PCs, PS3s and mobile devices (iphone, ipads, and most current generation Android phones)

If you go through the process of activating your account online it gives you instructions on what you need to do to link your PS3. It involves downloading an app from PSN.

so i redeemed my code yesterday
turned it on today says "unable to determine your location, to update your accounts wallet information by logging on to mlb .com....."
apparently i can only watch games that are done and not live.

k7k58, I had the same problem yesterday. I renewed my code and linked my PS3 to my mlb.com account only to get that message? WTF!! Does anyone know what this means or how to get around it? I went on mlb.com and couldn't find the mywallet thing. Any help is appreciated

Yes, i've had this happen...i basically just entered my credit card info. Better not get charged for anything. But after doing that it solved the not working problem.

Log in/register on mlb.com. it should take you to your profile page. On the left hand side of screen click "payment profile". That will take you to the page your given on the ps3 where it asks for wallet info.

Yes, i've had this happen...i basically just entered my credit card info. Better not get charged for anything. But after doing that it solved the not working problem.

Most "free" trials ask for credit info because they will start charging you the subscription fee once the 30-day trial ends.

I redeemed my code on Friday, but I would caution anyone on redeeming theirs currently because there are numerous streaming issues on all devices including the PS3. The games are unwatchable and are marred by pixelation, stuttering, buffering and other difficulties. Mlb.tv is not very responsive and all they're saying currently is that they're working on the problem and that they know there are problems with the new PS3 app. Very shoddy customer service in my opinion.

Honestly outside of Opening day, I haven't had many problems with my PS3 app. Not that others haven't had issues or are currently having issues.
