Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
DLC Classic Stadiums.
So many little things in here i don't know where to begin.
The attention to detail is staggering.
Polo Grounds.....amazing.
Just played at Griffith Stadium having read about it first.
It was mentioned in the article how the LCF juts in due to houses and a huge tree occupying that area.....and lo and behold in the game this is perfectly replicated.........
Can't wait to try some of the othersComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
During my spring training with the Reds. I was playing White Sox, CWS at bat with Gordon Beckham. He hit a line drive to 2B and when I threw him out the commentator said 'and thats a red card for Beckham'. Which I thought was pretty cool and an obvious shout out to David Beckham.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
First off I love this thread as this is the first MLB The Show game I purchased and love the attention to detail this game has.
I hit a home run in my RTTS and I chest bumped the guy on deck on my way to the dugout and I must have caught him in his man region with my knee as he started to bend over in pain.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
My first post...love this game:
1. Playing the Yankees at Fenway with the Sox, Cano over swings on a Beckett curve and his bat goes flying into about the 10th row of the crowd. Don't remember what the announcers said, but it was funny! (Someone mentioned it earlier in another post, but it was my coolest moment so far.)
2. I've only played at Fenway, but I'm working on loading in all the walkup, relief pitcher music, stadium music, etc. which is cool.
3. All the digital scoreboards at Fenway show the correct score, who's batting, etc. the same with the Green Monster scoreboard. The details on the score board are awesome!
4. I love that Manny "hears it" when he plays at Fenway with the Rays. His batting helmet is also plastered with pine tar.
5. Tito "pulled a nutty" in the dugout after I brought in a reliever and walked the first guy he faced.
Seems like every game, I have a chuckle at something. Some of the announcers talk is repetitive, but I'll hear something from the crowd or a detail that makes me think this game is just amazing!Last edited by Cravenfan; 03-20-2011, 04:02 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
Opening day in my Phillies franchise. Tied 2-2 against Astros in the 9th. Utley leads off, DEEEEEEP HR.
As he approaches home, he stops, flips his helmet off, and does a little jig to home as the team jumps around him.
Glad they put in some good HR celebrations this year. What would Doc do?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
I like when you pinch hit, like last years game the player coming out of the dugout and he puts his helmet on and the helmet is like 2X big. Well this year the helmets are the right size."I wanna walk down the street and people say," "There goes Roy Hobbs, the best to ever play the game."Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
A little thing I really thought was cool was, while playing my franchise in which i control all 30 teams I played the Yankees game first then went to another game that started roughly the same time and even though I had finished the Yankees game, the ticker updated the Yankees score as it happened in time with the game I was playing.
I also had Pujols hit a drive down the line that would have won the game in the 9th and it shows him going down the line trying to waive it fair ala Carlton Fisk. Unfortunately it went foul he then proceeded to strik out and the cards lostComment

I am a Notre Dame fan, and when I saw him on the mound it was awesome.
He is a hell of a pitcher too, he struck me out twice, not sure why he is still in AA.Proud Owner of XBOX360, Wii, PS3

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
Just saw a comebacker that DID result in an injury. Hit right off the pitcher's throwing arm.
Even with fast-play on, it triggered a scene that showed the pitcher lying on his back in obvious pain, and not really moving the arm that got hit. Catcher and manager both came out to the mound, and soon the pitcher change screen came up.
It doesn't happen as often as most of us would like (especially when getting hit in the head), but it DOES happen.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
This probably already was said but I loved it.
Haven't really gotten to play all that much since I bought it. But, I play usually with the Phillies. My first game with Halladay, I hit right on the corner and they called it a ball. Eric Karros chimes in with, "oooh, he might have gotten that call. But, I think he's on the cover of the wrong game."
LOL made me laugh.Comment
