So, this is pretty damn cool. I had made sure that all the teams in the AL East had walkup music. (Using TNK's files) It was pretty cool. So I DL the OSFM roster and go in last night to redo all the music for the AL East again. Well I didn't have to! It appears that there is coding that keeps the walkup music across all rosters and it would seem game modes. This is great and a real time saver. I just wanted to give SCEA a shout-out for that. That is hugely awesome!

One thing I noticed, and I'm not sure if its in previous releases, but I just finished playing Cubs vs. Cards, and I'm listening to the announcer after the game. He says something about metrolink and riding it at the stadium platform, or the 8th and pine locations. Really cool, since those are the two closest Metrolink stations by Busch Stadium.Comment

Calling time when your batting. Pretty cool if you ask me. Has anyone seen this or has it been mentioned? I don't remember reading about this. I think if you press L1+L2 and up on the directional pad, you can call time. The Positive Sports Podcast~~~Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People Do~~~Ignore The Negativity, Be The PositivityComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
one thing i love about this game which makes me feel less of a total loser is that when im watching a real baseball game i see real life MAJOR LEAGUE hitters swinging at the same crap pitches i do every game i play!!! i saw a player today on opening day swing at a ball over his head and i said to myself, Kenny, your just as pathetic virtually as these real life hitters are sometimes. makes me feel better about my futility in the game"Baseball is life, without Baseball life itself ceases to exist." - Ken SpragueComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
Last night I was watching the Red Sox vs. Astros and Don and Rem Dog (NESN Broadcast) were talking about how Carl Crawford grew up living and playing baseball near Houston and that he was to have some 80 individuals coming to the game to see him play. He even left them Sox Crawford jerseys to wear at Minute Maid Park. Anyways, so I decided to play The Show last night, and why not have the Sox play the Stros at Minute Maid. So within the first few innings what does The Show's commentators say, "Carl Crawford grew up playing baseball here in Houston, and he's probably gonna have a lot of tickets waiting for people at the gates." Or something to that effect. It was unreal! It's this attention to detail, that brings us Show fans back every year. Incredible! LaterComment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
This is my first post but I have been following Operation Sports for a few years now. I've been playing baseball video games since RBI, Bases Loaded... hell, even "Baseball" on my Tandy computer, and I've always purchased everyone. The MLB the Show franchise is definitely the best. Now, to stay on topic:
The stat package you can purchase at the Playstation Store is awesome for stat junkies like me. Gives the game a "Hardball" feel
Just completed Spring Training and my overall stats seemed pretty accurate to real life - definitely an impressive bit of detail. Coincidentally Matt Albers and Dennis Reyes actually were the best 2 pitchers in the spring during my "bullpen tryout" for the Sox and both made my club just like in real life
You can actually throw a good curveball and have it work without the computer hitting into the next town every time - a nice improvement
Don't like the analog - but hell, I'm just a traditionalist
Thanks to everyone who posts and works their arse off here - this is a GREAT forum!Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show - "The Little Things"
I love this game. I'm playing some spring training games in my Mets franchise tonight and this happens vs the Tigers. Byrdak is pitching in the 8th and the ball is smacked straight back up towards him, its bounces off his leg and richochets straight back to Thole who has all day to make the throw to first. The sheer speed of the deflection had me laughing out loud. Byrdak is fine too, no injury.Comment
