I just love the way the game plays out if you don't skip past anything. The way the batters step out of the batters box after every pitch. The way they kick dirt around, etc. Everything feels organic.

I haven't had a chance to read the entire thread so excuse me if this has been mentioned. But one of the announcers says something to the effect of "Details like that should make great discussion online, it can be called "The Little Things Thread." I actually laughed out loud when I heard it...very nice touch.Comment

Last night i hit a line drive straight to CF. Usually it would be an out but the CF ran in and to the right then backed away to the left and could only field it and throw it back. I thought WTF so i went to the replay and watched the ball. I looked from his POV and you could see the ball start going to his right but then sliced back to the left and dipped on him. Looked great.Comment

Yeah i remember the first time i heard that i instantly thought of this thread. That was back in the 09 game but always a good one to hear. Nice touch by SCEA.

Line of commentary that I didn't hear last year:
Verlander throws hard, low and inside to Brett Gardner who skips out of the way. EK - "Base stealers don't like it when you throw at their meal ticket"Comment

Getting a cheap single because Johnny Gomes broke the wrong way on a liner to the outfield.
I don't remember that happening last year. It might've, but I don't remember it.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: MLB 11 The Show: "The Little Things" Thread
Had another feel good moment tonight. You know how sometimes your pitching and they have 1 on base and your going for the double play. You get the grounder but you don't know if you can get both so you throw to 1st and its too late. It happens to me every now and then and tonight the CPU did it.
Hit a weak grounder in the infield my base runner got a good jump. 2nd basemen went to throw to 2nd didn't throw it then looked to 1st and the hitter had already made it. Don't think it was a bug cause he actually shaped up to throw to 2nd and then looked to 1st. It was the 2B for the D'Backs it was their third error in the game.Comment

CC struck out 10 Twins, they showed a video montage of the last pitch of each strikeout.
Also between one of the at bats they had a this year in baseball history graphic that showcased Jason heywards first homer with commentary.Comment

I haven't seen it yet, probably because I haven't struck that many batters out!Owner, Spear Interactive

Re: MLB 11 The Show: "The Little Things" Thread
Hit a pretty sure sac fly to CF with one out last night. Too bad I underestimated B.J. Upton's arm. He threw my guy out! I don't think I've had that happen before.
I was being absolutely killed in that game, though. Maybe it was just my bad luck. If everybody else wasn't asleep, I'd have been cursing up a storm.Last edited by Doran; 03-10-2011, 10:17 AM.Fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple LeafsComment

Yeah it was in like the 7th inning, i took him out in the eighth for Soriano. It was cool to see tho, they use the same cam for the pitch by pitch strikeouts so it was really cool.Comment
