What's The Bug?


No matter what the year (outside of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 of course), nobody gets elected into the Hall of Fame.

What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in?


Franchise Mode, I'm not sure if it will happen in RTTS Mode

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Not sure what triggers it, all I know is that its been like this since the later part of last year with MLB 10: The Show.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

Every year, and my current franchise is on 2018, Mariano River retired in 2012 with the most saves in MLB history, and he's not in the hall, heck, like i said, not one person has entered the hall.

Do you have video or pictures?

Not sure how I'd show this outside of showing the members inducted at the end of the year page and some page showing the year

(also, Hank Blalock has Carlos Pena's picture on his baseball card instead of his own.)

Have you checked 5 years after the player retires? That's the rule and I know it worked last year.

Whats the bug?

First baseman made a diving stop to a ground ball. He stopped it but didn't catch it. He went to pick it up and the ball quickly rolled back to the backstop near the on-deck circle.

Exhibition, CPU vs. CPU

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Derek Lowe made a pitch to Jayson Werth. Werth hit it to Freddie Freeman. What I typed earlier is what happened. I doubt I could re-create it. It just seems like one of those chance things.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I've only seen it once since purchasing the game on the day of release.

Whats the bug?

Sorry if this is in here, but I did a search for Accolades, Awards and MVP and nothing came up. Anyway, MVP seems to be the only award that is tracked in Franchise. I tried L1/L2 and no change. You can change between AL/NL, but MVP is the only award. I set O's and Dbacks as Player controlled teams.

Also FYI, I know a Patch is coming to *** trade logic, etc. Not sure if it includes teams in playoff race putting a top pitcher (Cubs - Garza) on trading block in early May. Or if anything can be done. Cubs are up by 5+ games as WC.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
In RTTS Edit Player screen and noticed I had mail from my manager so I hit select and viewed the mail. Exited mail back to player edit screen and the game is unresponsive. My background music plays but no button commands work. Cannot edit anymore and can not use Start to finish and save edits. Only way to exit is to use the PS button and quit game. I lost 10 games worth of stats since I had auto save off.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Everytime mail is read while in the RTTS Player Edit screen. Exiting back to player edit screen causes the game to become unresponsive.

Do you have video or pictures?
No, no video option available it this area of the game.

Whats the bug? Not a bug per say but more of an oversight and figured this is the best place to post it.
When playing the field on defense in RTTS, when a new batter comes to bat and the pre-bat screen shows the current pitcher's attributes the same as if my RTTS player was coming to bat. As a fielder on defense, I don't care about my teams pitchers K/9 or whatever. I need to know who the batter is and his attributes, most importantly speed so I know if I need to hurry my throw as an infielder.

Whats the bug?

1)At Minute-Park in Houston... When a ball is hit in the air or on the ground and comes in contact with Towels Hill in CF, the ball disappears... like it goes into the hill.

2)At the loading screen when it shows who is leading for the different rewards, I've noticed several of the computer generated players to have batting avg of like 12.000 or 11.000. Also, these same players have an obscure number of RBIs (ex. 114) When you check the league leaders, they do not have anywhere near that number of RBIs.

Whats the bug?

On a ball pitch that is in the dirt by the CPU that results in a ball four I noticed the catcher gets called for an error.

What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in?

Franchise.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Pitch was a curveball in the dirt, and the catcher blocked it and then there is the sound effect for an error and sure enough the catcher had been charged with an error. Not sure if I can re-create it because it's up to the CPU.

How often is the bug reproduced?

I haven't played that many games so that was the only time there was a ball four in the dirt.

Randomly during the game the batters boxes and the chalk lines go back to being how they are at the start of the game. I also think the infield dirt and pitchers mound reset to how they are at the start of the game.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

It seems to happen very randomly. I have seen an animation of the grounds crew raking the dirt and every time after the animation it resets which is really cool. No I can't re-create it because it seems to happen at random even when that animation is not shown.

How often is the bug reproduced?

It seems to happen a few times over the course of the game. Like with 1 out in the 9th in the last game I played after a pitch all of a sudden the batters boxes and chalk lines were reset.

Last year in my game, no one was elected to the hall of fame and my RttS player was still playing in the year 2023.

What's The Bug?
Throwing warmup tosses with Brian Fuentes and all of the sudden after a pitch Kurt Suzuki appealed down to third base as if a batter was there and he had check-swinged.

What game mode did you experience the bug/glitch in?
Exhibition - A's vs. Mariners T10th 4 pitches left in warm up tosses.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?
Threw a pitch that was borderline on the strike zone with a 2SFB. If a threw enough pitches on the border like that one it might be able to be recreated.

EDIT: Just threw the same 2SFB outside and it appealed again.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
First time I've seen it in a large amount of play time so not that often.

In Franchise mode, the newspaper headlines in the first paragraph always has a player (usually an average player in ability) saying they broke some record like consecutive hits when they're not even close to reaching that record.

Finished a game, sim to the next day, and it appears on the newspaper headline (both my team's home paper and the national newspaper).
