Nevermind on my trade! The MLB The Show Gods have answered! I was able to pull in Joe Thatcher to cover my lefty problem and also grab Tyler Clippard from the Nats as well!

I'm starting a new franchise with knights opening day rosters. I'm playing as the sox. I'm wanting to move peavy for a different pitcher. I'm not a big fan of peavy. Any suggestions on who I should trade for

Nobody wants to trade with me and if I want to be successful in the playoffs (lol yeah I know, I play about a 1/3rd of the games) and I can't do that with Tony Watson, Beimel, and Danny Moskos as LH relivers.
I know you said you solved your issue, but I wanted to say that I had the issue. I had the bar full on four trades for relievers and nothing ever worked. I had to give up ALOT to get Matt Capps for some reason, even though he's blown tons of saves for the Twins.

I noticed that the twins are very hard to trade with. I've been trying to trade for Jim Thome and they want a young catcher with a potential B for him. I know he will retire at the end of the year also and I'm uncertain to give up so much to get him

I'm tempted to trade him for Latos. I've pitched with him in a couple simulated games and he seems to be pretty good

Would the Padres even take that trade?

I could really use a reliable bullpen arm (another setup guy - maybe even a closer - just about to hit the all-star break, and Lidge already has 7 blown saves, and really should have a couple more on top of that probably). Also, just like in real life, I could use one more good bat in the middle of the lineup. Ibanez has done fairly well (46 RBI) - but he's very hot and cold. Howard has been a beast, Utley is having a good season, but can be very hot and cold as well. Being a Phillies fan in real life, I really like what Hunter Pence has done - any thoughts about trying to acquire him in my 'chise? Or any other thoughts about trade possibilities?
How about Darren O'Day, Hong-Chih Kuo, Sean Burnett, or O'Flaherty?

I'm trying to think of good SU/MR that might not be untouchable.
Have you tried giving a guy like DeFratus or Aumont a chance? Are they in the rosters?

For Pence (again, not sure on how the Show does trades, I have MLB 2K11), I'm guessing it take a major league ready player or two, maybe Mayberry and someone else, as well as some A or B prospects.

Good luck, and hope this helps.

BTW, just wanted to say I love reading your dynasty on DM. Great job on it.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Hey philliesfan - thanks for the ideas - I'll have to give them a try and see if I can get any interest. As of right now, the Astros want nothing to do with giving up Pence. This interest bar isn't budging, no matter who I offer - just to try it out, I even put Madson up as a possible offer as well as Howard, Halladay, Lee, Lidge, Polanco, Ruiz (on the trade block, they say they're looking for RP, 3B and C - so I"m trying to fill those possibilities)... And the bar stayed at 0 no matter what - Obviously I'd never actually trade Howard or Halladay or Lee or any of those guys (maybe Madson... but he's one of the more reliable guys in the bullpen). But the interest level won't even change for Pence for those type guys lol. They don't want my best prospects, either, apparently, at least not for Pence.

Unfortunately, I was stupid and didn't try to include knight's or anyone else's rosters that have minor leaguers - so my minor leaguers don't match real life, which makes it kind of hard lol. For instance, the actual trade the Phillies made included 2 higher rated prospects - one at 1B the other a SP I believe (as well as a lower level prospect and a player to be named later). Well, in my organization, i have an A prospect at AA Reading, but I don't have a decent 1B prospect anywhere in the organization lol. So - I don't know. I like your suggestions though for MR/SU - I'll have to see if I can make something work before the deadline.

By the way - thanks for checking out my dynasty page. It's a lot of work, but I really enjoy it, especially when I figure out something new to do lol. Thanks again!

Don't think so, he's almost as untradeable as Justin Upton is.

Help! I've got a possible trade I'm considering offering - I'm the Phillies - The interest bar is full for this: I give Detroit a pitching prospect who is in AA right now (though probably AAA ready) - he is a 20 year old left handed starting pitcher - overall a D right now, but is an A potential. He's been tearing it up in AA. In return - I would get RP Joaquin Benoit from the Detroit Tigers, who is an A overall and A potential and has a 2.57 ERA in 41.0 IP and 13 holds. I lose a top starting pitching prospect, but as the Phillies, I'm loaded for at least a few years at the MLB level - and it shores up my bullpen (I've got a lot of guys with good ERA's, but I'm not all that confident - Madson is the only really consistent guy... Contreras isn't doing much, Romero's been hot - beyond that it's kind of hit and miss). Thoughts??

I'm not sure I would want to part with a very highly potentail SP that could replace one of the many aces that Philly has but on the other hand if you think it could put you in the series I would do it then
