    Now I officially give up.
    Budgets off still?...

Interest bar ....like stated earlier, if you have the 3 day window on trades on(INSTANT TRADES off).....the bar is inconsequential, I believe.(having it "work"(they couldn't remove it)...would kind of defeat the purpose of waiting for an answer, wouldn't it?)

I think it does actually work, to a point. What I mean is this.

With Instant Trades OFF, the interest meter isn't a measure of whether the trade will be accepted, but rather whether the trade will even be considered by the CPU team. Offer a team a trade that has zero on the interest bar, and the trade will be rejected 99.9999999% of the time, because the team simply isn't interested in it. With the Interest bar full, that means the team is CONSIDERING the deal......NOT that it WILL accept it. It is still a 50/50 chance that it is rejected or accepted.

I offered the Mets several deals with the Interest bar FULL, and they accepted some, and declined others. I offered them deals with the Interest Bar at ZERO, and ZERO of them were accepted.

Then I thought to myself "lets test something" so I offered the same trade over and over...when it was accepted or rejected I would reload the 'chise and try again. With the bar FULL, the CPU accepted the trade half the time, while declining it half the time.

In short, the Interest Bar is sort of usefull, in that if the bar is full, it means the CPU team will at least consider the deal. If it is empty, they won't.

Probably, haha. Included a top Outfield Prospect and took out the catcher and the deal got done.

But, this is coming in the same season where I managed to get Marco Scutaro for a D-Rated AA Reliever.

The Mets just offered my D-Backs:

          Jose Reyes
          Chris Young
          Zach Lutz

          for

          Henry Blanco
          My 2 best pitching prospects.

What do you guys think? Still in the first year btw. Also, I'd probably trade Young and Melvin Mora for a prospect or two if I take it.

MAN...i hate these trades done in my bosox franchise. The Rockies traded the Braves todd helton for freddie freeman and a prospect...Braves wouldn't trade away freeman. Both teams are in the playoff hunt. Then, after already having traded away Adrian Beltre, the rangers trade away michael young to the tigers for brandon inge and a prospect.

30 team control, check pending transactions everyday. Ive overridden several trades already. Stuff like you listed are franchise killers to me. I let Brandon Phillips go to Colorado only because Cincy is 15 games back and Phillips was in last yr of his deal.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Alright, I have a dilemma on my hands.

I am the O's. I am currently 48-43, and 5 games behind the Yankees for the wild card. My offense has been pretty good, and my young starting pitching has been average. By bullpen has been spotty in the middle innings, but Kevin Gregg has 32 saves and a 1.89 ERA. He has been absolutely lights out. Well, it's not gone on deaf ears around the league.

The White Sox have come calling. They have offered 1B/OF Dayan Viciendo, LHP Jhonny Nunez, and RHP Freddy Dolsi for Kevin Gregg. Nunez is the only player that would even has a shot at my major league roster for now, as a lefty out of the bullpen. Dolsi would probably go to AA, and Viciendo could be my answer at either first or left field long term. But my answers at closer would be Koji Uehara (which, while reliable not to walk guys, but has been hit around a little) and the human implosion Mike Gonzalez (who hasn't been awful, but is a home run machine).

Suggestions? I wouldn't even consider the trade, but that's a lot of talent coming back my way.

If it was me, I WOULDN'T do the trade, for the simple fact that you are 90 some games into the season, and are IN THE PENNANT RACE. 5 games out with 65 or so games left isn't that far back. I'd be looking to add a piece here or there, rather than get rid of your best option out of the pen. If you fall farther back, then you can re-examine the trade.

northface28- I kind of prefer to not control the other teams & let the chips fall where they may as I do have budgets on. Interestingly enough, after being signed by the Padres from the FA block, Manny Ramirez was just traded to the Indians! He will join Andy Pettitte who they also picked up. The Indians by far make the most moves in my franchise.

                        In the race?....I hold off.
I read in the franchise thread that you're team batting(other than HR's) is a bit down....and you are pretty thin in the pitching dept.
Hold tight unless you have a deal in mind for another arm IMO....especially if Gregg is pitching well.

To each his own, the CPU gets a little wonky at times, evidenced by your ManRam story. Different strokes for different folks. Luckily we have the choice to play how we want.

If you do it, you'll give the SS job to Reyes and the 3rd base job to Drew? And then move Mora out?
It is an upgrade for your infield but is it worth your 2 best pitching prospect, especially if one of them is Jarrod Parker ?
I wouldn't do this trade but it could be tempting...

For the 3B job, don't you have a A 3B prospect in the organisation ?
