I play against the cpu always, and this problem happens every time when its a save situation. Last game just finished brewers me pirates cpu. Pirates up 5-3 in the bottom of the 9th. I hit a solo hr with lucroy its 5-4 pirates. CPU takes hanrahan out after only 7 pitches. Same thing has happened with other cpu teams ive played. I Lowered mgr. hook to three and it still happens. Is their any fix for this? Or is it a glitch? Thanks any help is appreciated.

Though, I guess it could be worse.
They could NEVER bring the closer in at all.
So I guess being taken out > never being called in in the 1st place.

yeah yanks were up by 2 I scored on a sac fly yanks up by 1 mo threw 10 pitches cpu takes him out for joba. Hopes somebody comes up with a fix for this.Comment

I've posted this in the glitch thread but I played the Red Sox and the Sox had a 3 run lead going into the ninth. Papelbon came in and gave up a solo shot and was pulled immediately. Also against the Yankees, they had a 2 run lead and Rivera gave up a lead off single and was pulled. Its also happened a couple other times where 1 run results in the closer being pulled. It's pretty annoying for sureComment

for those like me that dont play online this sucks. I moved mgr. hook slider to zero and it still happens. Cpu has a 2 run lead gives up a run closer is yanked cpu has a 1 run lead gives up a run to tie game he gets yanked. Rivera papelbon fear the beard wilson doesnt matter they all get yanked. I hope this is something the developers can patch. This is such a great game, but when you play a full game and its close in the 9th and this happens its like you played for nothing because the challenge of the 9th inning is taken away.Comment

Yeah I seen this happen when I was playing the Mets.
They put K-Rod in with a one run lead and Teixeira hits a game tying homer and the manager yanks him out of the game and puts in Taylor Buchholz, who proceeds to lose the game for the Mets.Comment

Happens to me too. I certainly hope they fix this. There aren't many but A.I. bullpen management has always been a weak point in the series.Comment

Yeah its pretty much my only complaint. Lefty/righty matchups are non existent for the cpu. They'll have a lefty reliever pitching and I'll have a left handed hitter come up so what does the cpu do? Put a righty in. The commentators will take about lefties warming in the pen to face a left handed batter but the game doesn't do anything about it.
However, thats kind of minor compared to the closer problem.
And on a semi-related topic, I was playing the Yankees and on back to back days I roughed up Burnett and CC pretty good and knocked each out with 1 out in the 3rd. In comes Sergio Mitre and both times and he gets me to ground out on 1 pitch and was yanked right after that! I guess he can't handle the long relief....Comment
