UNfortunately they have removed it from exhibition.You have to go into season or franchise mode to try it out.

I'm not trying to bash your thoughts on the game or MoM in particular.
Yes....I know it's the same.
I always like the new additions to the game...and have a lot of fun fooling around with other aspects as well(classic rosters....the new player vault and for me...the key...the bottom line sports ticker!)....
I was more saying....that as of now...only one game with graphics has a MoM any longer.
I'm not saying we should just "be thankful" for just that...
but I am!

I think we'll see SOME love for MoM in future versions. I really hope so anyway!

Lets hope so Mk.All i want is the cpu to not take over randomly and to be able to call the game from the dugout.Well at least this year hopefully i will be able to double switch at some point

hey knight - this is my very first post don't know what im doing lol! i know you have some pull in this mode of the game. did you ever play strat o matic baseball? thats a great game i stopped playing it because the graphics were so bad. you rolled virtual dice to determine outcome of plays. this is the most important mode for stats geeks because the players are still deciding outcome of the game. imagine the shows graphics with strato-matic type baseball they would make a killing on this game if they added this to MOM. just my 10 cents worth.

I didn't take it as bashing, buddy. I think I've interacted with you more than anyone in my short tenure here and I've seen us eye to eye on some things and back to back on others. And I appreciate your agreements and respect your disagreements.
And I am thankful for the fun and excitement I have found with The Show. But I was just thinking a little more divided than that and comparing The Show to itself--The only point I was trying to get across is that it has not/is not getting worse, BUT...it's just not getting better. Not MoM, not Franchise. And that disappoints me--only because '08 & '09 blew me away.
I just wish I had held off last year because I really didn't need to put '09 on the shelf, and now I wish I had held off THIS year because I didn't hold up LAST year. I'm just kind of kicking myself, that's all. Now I have 3 copies of the virtually the same product that I don't really use. Blah.
But...if that fix from Kolbe comes out and works...I'll do a complete 180 with no shame.

Once they fix the double switch problem in MOM, along with the release of OS Full Minors, then I can finally start my season.

I also enjoy manage mode and I agree with a lot of what Trey is saying. What frustrates me the most though is the bugs found again this year that were fixed in previous versions. It's puzzling to me how the SCEA programmers, who are doing such a great job with this game, can allow these bugs to re-surface. I am confident that they will be fixed again when/if a patch comes out. Props to Knight for continually bringing up the MOM cause to SCEA. I hope Kolbe can get some emphasis put on MOM (and Franchise) for next year's game. It's tough to please all the people all the time.

They better also fixing the freezing problem.Had it freeze up last night when i went out to the mound in 8yh inning.Cant wait for the patch!Still love the game and Mom despite some irritating bugs

I'm a MOM guy, and I only play that way. Like the game, hopeful they will improve MOM from year to year.

MOM player here as well. Love this mode, and am hoping that someday they will take away the CPU making decisions for me AND will allow MOM online. I am NOT a good "stick jockey" (Although the Analog pitching mechanism IS so good that I have played a few games against the CPU just to use it) so managing my ballclub and letting the players attributes and my managerial decisions dictate the outcomes instead of my stick skills means a lot to me.

I don't get why MOM online of head-to-head can't / has not been implemented.

Does MLB 2k11 have MOM? Do they keep all stats year to year in their offline franchise mode? If they do these things it might not be long before I make the switch.

I've asked that question of MLB2k11 several times, and never received an answer. I, too, love the MOM mode of this game, but it is annoying that the CPU still does what it wants on your team..(Stealing 3rd way too many times??)

One would think if a bug was found in one version, it would be on the "To do" list for next version. Otherwise, it turns into the same version as last year, but with a few more camera angles. This seems to be a trend with game companies now. Look at EA with the bugs in their games, that keep making it to next years versions.

I really hope SCEA releases a patch to fix the issues mentioned with MOM mode. There are a lot more people that enjoy this mode than they think.

What bugs from last year?
If you are referring to the CPU "takeovers"....it's not a bug per se....it's because MoM is a forced mode which is really CPU vs. CPU in which they added the ability for the user to make decisions. There was never really the ability to STOP CPU decisions...hence why you see those issues. They will be there until the actually overhaul MoM...
So laziness isn't the correct term. They just are not ready(time...mostly) to completely overhaul MoM just yet(for '11)

2K has neither of the things mentioned. No MoM...therefore nothing associated with it.

Well, there were bugs that were addressed several years ago, such as if a player successfully stole second the command wouldn't be canceled and he would try to steal again on the next pitch, where he usually would be thrown out at third. If he made it to third he would try to steal home on the next pitch. But now it has resurfaced. The commands aren't canceling between pitches. The late inning freeze during the double switch has resurfaced. This also had been fixed in a previous version. I may be wrong but I think the save game feature has also been changed. It looks like if you save a game you have to exit franchise mode before resuming. The way the game keeps freezing in the late innings we should be able to MANUALLY save whenever we want to without exiting a game in progress.
