Whats the bug?

When I first started my Season, I had force trades on and it all worked fine. I just tried to do a couple of trades for the first time in awhile and they all get rejected and don't let me force anymore. I have budgets off as well. Even when the other team is getting the better of the deal, they won't accept it.


How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

It happened when I tried to make a trade in my Season and yes, I can re-trigger it.



How often can the bug be reproduced?

Everytime...

Pitcher substitutions (as well as their display in box score) seems messed up in the RTTS "all pitches" mode.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

I was playing games using the "all pitches" game watch mode. When I watched the box score (both in game and from the schedule after the game), I noticed there are many duplicate entries for pitchers used in that game.

Also, the pitcher usage doesn't seem reasonable. I was playing a couple tight 1-run games during the playoff, in which I expected our closer to be brought in which never happened. When I check the box score, it does look like the closer was brought in but never threw a pitch. (See the attached image; "Santana" was our closer...).


How often can the bug be reproduced?

I've seen this every game in which I use "all pitches play."

What year was it and what were their contracts? I will mention that after their rookie deal, they enter a limited sort of FA. The team that drafted them has exclusive ability to sign them to a second deal, unless they don't offer a bid. If they don't any team can sign them.

Moustakas had a 3 year contract starting in 2011 at the age of 22. He was released when that contract ended after the 2013 season.

Hicks has a 2 year contract starting in 2011 at the age of 21. He was released when that contract ended after the 2012 season.

I understand that the team "can" choose to release these players but why would they? Moustakas in particular was the 11th best overall rated player on the Royals when he was released.

Whats the bug? In a baserunning training it had the screen like i was in a hitting session.. but there was no guy in the box

At the start of the bottom of the 6th with my team (Mets) hitting, I went to bullpen view to warm up a pitcher. When I tried to leave that screen, it told me I needed to replace the other team's (A's) pitcher.

Don't know what caused it. Judging from this forum, it's a somewhat common occurrence.

Hard to say. I saw something similar happen recently with Royals 1B prospect Eric Hosmer. He seemed to not be offered a contract at the date where you have to be offered a contract or enter FA, considerably after exclusive negotiations are over. I offered a 10 million dollar deal-1 million a year for 10 years and outbid everyone else in FA. All the other teams were offering 400K or similar for 1-3 years. Let's just say you'll see some unusual things from the Game AI sometimes.

Mekias-I think it was because the players weren't on the 40 man roster. I believe the game ai will offer contracts to all players on the 40, but may or may not offer them to the other 50 players on the roster. MLB service time may also be a factor. I noticed Hosmer had no MLB service time and wasn't on the 40 when i signed him.

The scorebar disappears during the AB of the first batter faced by a new pitcher, comes back if you (un)pause, get the batter out or he hits a foul ball (whichever of the three occurs first). Happens if your new pitcher enters after the previous pitcher was pinch hit for (don't know if it does the same if he was replaced by a runner, never tried). This includes double-switches using the batter that hit for the previous pitcher.

How often?
Any reliever entering for your team replacing the previous pitcher that was pinch hit for.

Players like Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas are entering FA after 2-3 years once their rookie contract is up rather than being under their team's control for 6 years. I believe it's because they are not on the 40 and have no MLB service.The game AI is not offering them contracts.

If I have someone on 1st and 3rd, when I do the individual baserunner steal controls for the guy on 1st, regardless of who it is and how good their baserunning is, the CPU pitcher always steps off the mound and the guy on 1st always ends up getting picked off.

I've noticed this, too, but I only tried it once or twice, so I wasn't sure if I was using the wrong controls to make the runner on first steal.

Whats the bug? Regarding 30-team control, there is a bug for non-user team controls and the 'Billboard' option. If you control 1 (or more teams, but not all) the AI does not purchase options or sign-up to take $ from advertisers for Billboards for certain teams. All teams do take the 'Main Advertiser' option; where there is multi-year payments for certain goals acheived (0.400 record, 200 HRs, Tip Top field condition, etc). If you select R2, teams can get $ for signing advertisers on Billboards.

For example, if you control Seattle and have the AI control all other teams, only the teams above Seattle actually take $ or setup Billboards for profit. This does effect on how much $ all teams can make as a profit and could effect the business of teams. In this example, all NL teams and Texas do not have $ coming in from Billboard advertisers.

What I mean as above, is the game sets up Baltimore as the top team (similar on how the Gold Glove awards are given) and alphabetically through the AL East, then Chi-white sox through AL Central division, then the AL West. This then starts with Atlanta and the Giants are the last team.

So if you are controlling Arizona, all teams except the rest of the NL West have taken $ for the Billboard advertisers and you have to Manually go in an sign up teams; if that's what you wish to do. If you are controlling Baltimore, then every other team does not have this (and Manually have to go in).

Whats the bug? Sorry if this has been mentioned, but is a very noticable problem this year and hopefully does not show up in 12'. This happens about every game played. There is a noticable slowed animation for Human controlled players vs AI.

Players on my team (human controlled) go to ~half speed on Offense and Defense with a slowed animation; typically majority of the time when runners on 2B and sometimes in other situations when a ball is put in play and an opportunity to score.

Having a runner on 2B and hitting balls out of the IF; some are soft grounders getting through. About half way to 3B the runner starts slowing / animation slows down (even when controlled to round the base) and continues at this ~half speed until about halfway between 3B and Home plate. This results in many tag outs at the plate; if the throw is directly at the plate. I have had runners with ~20-30 rated speed and ones with above 90 rating do the same thing and reach the plate at the same time. I have had similar hits with the same result at the plate. I have seen this enough to watch players ~halfway between bases where the animation slows for the runner, but not the fielder controlled by AI.

I have also witnessed many times where the AI has runners that do not slow or have slow animation and my fielders begin to go ~half speed or slowed animation fielding the play. The AI had runners score easily (even slow speed rated runners) on hits that should not advance runners past 3B (from 2B or even 1B) because my fielders go to this ~half speed animation (or sometimes move as if there is no hurry).

Whats the bug? The jumbotron at Busch Stadium shows the wrong postions. (And there is no specific design or at least stats to fill up space.)

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? I placed Jon Jay in CF for this game. The jumbotron shows RF, his primary postion. It doesn't show where he is playing. Also, the screen is very bland. There is no purpose.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Every single game. If you put someone in another position, other than their primary position, it will be wrong on the Jumbotron. I could also put Daniel Descalso at 3B, but the jumbotron will say 2B, his primary position, instead of where he is actually playing.
