I was just really interested in my question because if what I seen was true then I am super happy because of online play being a ton better. Last year I hit on Legend and this year I hit on All-Star. I adjust to get what I want, but no matter what my league has done hitting sucks online.

I was going by what you wrote though. You said you were batting .219 and are now batting .239 through 5 games.

The theory is that "the workaround" works for existing franchise/RTTS saves also. Just start a new file, save it. Then save your old one over the new file.

I say "theory" because I haven't had this problem myself, so I can't provide any input as to what definitely works and what does not, I just know that "the workaround" works, and I understand why it works, and would assume it also applies to franchise/RTTS/season saves as well.

I could have swore I read that someone tried it, and it worked. But I could be wrong

it seems the same, but I honestly can't tell. I lowered the slider pre-patch and played that way for a while and now am playing at default.

It hasn't been bad, I can say that. I haven't felt as though anything has been exaggerated.

from my experience(about 9 games now post patch) the zone hitting is the same as before. No changes.

You need to be connected to the internet for game updates.

When you load a Franchise/mode that is 'corupted' due to this issue, when you try to save it, the only option is to "Cancel" or "Overright existing save". You are not able to save over any other file except what was loaded. You do not get to choose which file you want to save it over as you would if you loaded a corupt Roster over the Default.

FYI - last night I did try that with a New Franchise created with the 'workaround' and still only had the 2 options of saving (cancel or overright save over existing/the franchise that was loaded)

Ok so there's our answer. The next question is why in the world is SCEA not making a MUCH bigger deal out of this??? They have yet to comment on it.

Here is a shot in the dark, but has anyone tried to load a "corrupted" franchise, then go into a game, and try an "in-game save" Maybe it will save that way....If it does, then you should be able to overwrite the file once you get back to the schedule screen.

It's worth a shot....

Game patches are provided offline all the time for games. Can't somebody just get the game update online and post it here like in the past? Many games work in this way. Has things changed that I'm not aware of now?

I don't know of any PS3 game that has been updated this way. I know that previous MLB The Show games were only able to be patched if you had online access.

he's talking about saving the file via flashdrive and then uploading it to the site so those without online access can download it.
