Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
So is it usually the case that a patch of this size was the last title update for past years' releases? That would be unfortunate, though I understand they cannot keep working on this year's game with a new one on the horizon.
I don't know how bad it was last year, but it looks like this is the same problem, so it might be easy for them to fix though. At least they probably know how to fix it. Perhaps just a matter of resources they can put in continuing fixing bugs..
It reappeared in this year's game probably because when they fixed it for '10, they already were starting off '11 with an older code base... who knows.
A dream come true for me would be to fix manage mode but I realize that probably won't happen this year.≡Comment

As soon as you start the game you should be prompted to leave and download the patch.Comment

I think pitchers field more ball in general (mentioned in the fix list), so that must be its side effect.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Title Update 1.16 Fix List
Are we sure real errors are not counting the run as earned? I'll admit, I just played my first game post patch last night. In 5th inning, O's had guy on first with two outs. They hit a groundball to my second basemen, I overthrew first (damn you analog throwing) and the runners went to 2nd and 3rd. With no error, the inning is over. The next batter singled home a runner. It charged David Price with an Earned Run, but it should not have been earned.

What you saw, IRL Price shouldn't get an ER. Not sure the game handles it properly pre or post patch, but that should be a different bug report.Comment

Shouldn't be...all runs after there are 2 outs should be unearned in that example. (Because the inning should have been over already).Comment

Is that automatic though? I thought there always is some leeway for scorers as to how to interpret what should be earned/unearned, especially in this sort of situations.Comment
