Honestly, I hope that it is exactly like MLB 11.

Dishonestly, I hope it is like 2k6 on the 360.

If the ball is headed for the dirt, the catcher's responsibility is to drop and block.

You see a lot of drop-third strikes in the MLB as well, but normally the batter surrenders his AB and the catcher just tags him on the spot. No camera switches needed. Otherwise, they lay off or make contact with that curveball.

However, Scooter, on that note, I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if, in this game, when the catcher traps it right in front of his body, that Vasgersian doesn't get overly excited and yell, "And the ball gets away!" Maybe they can work on some kind of drop-third strike system where they apply those automatic tags, just so it doesn't feel to be as common as we make it out to be.

I've always felt like the commentary just takes me out of the game. Its not awful, but because (like a lot of you) I have played more hours of MLB The Show than anything else, it gets hard to listen to. Obviously we need better Trade Logic in Franchise, and maybe a little more immersion somehow.

Another big thing for me, is swing variety. Why should every players swing look exactly the same? It sucks not being able to tell the difference between Bautista and Shane Victorino. A little more hit variety would help as well (not many choppers, bloopers to the outfield for hits are almost non-existent). Other than that, my wants for '12 are a lot shorter than other games, and I consider that a very good thing.

Something annoying in RTTS.....when I'm in the outfield, and a ball gets to the wall, and I pick it up and throw it in....the "camera" just stares at me and I can't see the action in the field as my throws heads to the cut off man or to the base I threw, without me "running" back towards the infield, it should switch views right after I throw it back to the infield.

                    Great game though, totally addictive.

                      Blzer,
You made some good observations as to the mechanics of
swinging 3rd strike in the dirt.

I know it happens in the Big Leagues from time to time.
Sometimes it's like comparing apples and oranges (real to video)
In real life I can see the ball in 3D in video it's 2D with no depth perception.

In my case the end result is too many gofer ball third strikes in the dirt swings. LOL

I like your idea of the batter being tagged at the plate.

I think if I could slow the pitch down a bit it might help to reduce
the number of third strikes in the dirt and toss to 1st occurrences.

                      Thanks,

I was playing The Yankees vs the Red Sox at Boston.
Joe Cronin got hold of a inside pitch an sent it over the
                        "Green Monster"
The screen focused on left field and the Monster. I followed
the shadow of the ball and the announcer said "it's over
                        the Green Monster"
Then they showed the replay and what a majestic sight it was
I watched it sore like an eagle as it touched the clouds and sailed
                        over the Monster.
Wished I could have seen the replay first in real time..

Player suspensions i.e. hgh, breaking team rules. Weather having a bigger impact on the game. Rain, fog, wind.

I'm pretty sure the MLB will not allow the player suspensions(absurd as that may be).
I think that's why you don't even see it from in game ejections.
                              Would be nice though....too bad.
