Once again poor choice of words on my part. I was specifically wondering if the ball could be knocked out of the catcher's glove after a collision at the plate.

I was also wondering if the trade logic in Franchise mode. It was weird to see the CPU put their top reliever on the block and then want a reliever in return, or watching the CPU trade Harper or some other A prospect for a below-average aging veteran.

Finally, I was wondering if two minor gameplay flaws were addressed in The Show 12. First, 90% of the time the CPU would tag up on any fly ball hit to the outfield, even shallow that would obviously lead to an out. Second, does a runner still get picked off 95% of the time if the count is full?

      Re: Gameplay/Presentation for MLB12

ok dusting off my list ive had going for the past several years.

      1. Indiv. batter vs pitcher stats for both season and career

have these stats show up during the first at-bat each player has against each pitcher

      2. indiv pitcher vs hitter stats for both season and career

      3. pitcher vs. team stats for both season and career

      4. team vs team stats for both season and career

      5. bay boys, girls, old guys etc.

      6. rain delays that cause postponments and game re-scheduling as make up days or double headers

      7. rain during games that causes retractable roofs to have to close and open when stopped

      8. pre game thing for at least if for no other reason that includes the the color guard, and the giant flag out in center field before each game with the nataional anthem plays.

      9. which leads me to this, opening day, and start of all star game, and start of each post season round have the players and coaches intro'd how they are in real life.

      10. during the home run derby have kids of all ages shagging balls in the outfield.

      11. when we do a mound visit in franchise let us choose who is coming out. give us the choice of the pitching coach or the manager.

      12. in franchise when we or our team clinches a wild card or div title show us the post game celebration in the clubhouse. Including showing the specific trophy.

well that is all i can think of now... hope this helps future additions.

      hello i almost forgot

pitcher record at each park (season/career)

each hitters stats at each park (season/career)

The devs want this to be an animation driven game in regards to player-player.
Can you elaborate on this a bit more or direct me to the thread which covers this. I would like to read it.

While Im on it ( and Im sorry if this has been said) but I would like to have the HR distance and season count come back like it was in MLB10.

I also think more emphasis on milestones would be nice too.

A Player search feature would be awesome especially for some of the no name players that make it big or the F/A that have been lost in oblivion.

Obviously none of these are detrimental to game play but they would be nice to have.

          I give this a HUGE standing O....

This is my #1 gripe. I hate when my fielder gets stuck in animation and he misses the ball by 10 feet over his head because I cant control him!

More Customization Options for Sounds of the Show:
Double Play Sound, Team Walk Ups (For people who don't have assigned walk ups), etc

More crowd emotions, player emotions (lets say I strike out with the bases loaded, maybe slam the bat on the ground/break it, etc)

            Weather:
start raining during a game (instead of having it rain at the start time of the game), option to play through the rain or reschedule, also postponed games due to inclement weather, etc

Also, realistic fan attendance based on weather, I don't want to see a sellout crowd during a rainy day in the ballpark

            Accessories:
Lets say its the beginning of the season and its very very cold, have players wear more attire to keep warm instead of the usual long sleeves, this would be an example: http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/20...cano_error.jpg

            Realism:
Maybe this is too much to ask for, but I would like to see ball boys, bat boys, etc during the game, and the people who get the foul balls in the 1st and 3rd base sides (would add more realism to this fantastic game)

            Gameplay:
Have the option to have the catcher or any infielder to go to the pitcher to try and calm him down, (beneficial for those who dont want to waste a mound visit)

Love the impliment of informing us of a trade. I would like the info to be correct. My disc says Baltimore when its any other the MLB teams. I would settle for basic info about trades.

I have asked twice about this in the past and hopefully it will become reality soon. The ability to assign more than one player to the batting cage would be great. Before entering the mode if we could pick up to 4 guys to rotate in the cage during batting practice, that would save alot of time. And if possible make this an option before every game (of course it could be skipped if one chooses). To add to the realism throw in the teammates shagging balls, maybe guys running around in the outfield (sprints) etc.....I know this may sound far fetched, but if any team can make it happen some day it will be SECA, so why not...?

I like to play season mode because it simple like me. I just wished
that the stats would carry over to each new season on the 2012
                    game.
I would love to have the option to pick 8 teams in each league and play a season based in the 40's or 50's or whatever

                      Re: Gameplay/Presentation for MLB12

                      - Improved catcher logic and animations (blocking the plate properly, more dropped balls and potential injuries to catcher after collisions). They're also sometimes WAY too fast reacting out of the crouch!

-Adjust AI logic of pitchers pitching in blowouts. Other than a no-hitter or perfect game, if a guy has an 8 run lead after 7 innings he should NOT be on the mound when his pitch count is in the 100's with no energy, regardless of his confidence.

-Individual pitch confidence shouldn't increase when a batter is continuously fouling off pitches. It should actually decrease a bit or remain neutral at best.

-MUCH MORE improved AI managing logic in late innings. Lefty/righty matchups leave a lot to be desired, and it pains me to see the CPU ignore this in critical situations on the mound or at the plate. Very important.

-Manual base-running options. I'm sure there are others that would LOVE an option to manually slide into a base, as well as decide how. On that same note, the foot-first slide animation needs changing, since the front foot DOESN'T touch the bag, resulting into an easy tag.

-Manual base-stealing options. Would like to finally be able to manually get back to base and not watch a cutscene play out. It's part of gameplay, we should be able to control it, or at the very least have an option to do so.

-Hit variety. Too many line drives, not enough bloops or bleeders. I've also never seen fair/foul balls that stop short on/off the baseline without the first/third baseman knocking it foul. Would be cool to see, but NOT that EVERY game, of course. Which brings me to...

-Deflections off the pitcher. I don't think I need to go into detail on this.

-DECLINING AGING POSITION PLAYERS. Every year I have to go in and adjust players like Posada, Chipper, Thome, etc to perform to their current abilities and not like they're in their prime. Players 38 and up shouldn't have a A or B potential rating which may or may not be why this is the case.

-Improved friction on balls in the field.

Oh and I'd LOVE for there to be a marker or indicator to judge balls of the outfield wall. I've given up too many triples to guys like Ryan Howard and Pudge when trying to just simply chase the ball and pick it up, which can take up to 5 seconds too long.

                      Thanks.

FYI guys these threads need to be about 90% fixes, re-balancing and tweaks to existing features. When the game visits us our feature set will be locked, so this isn't a team for "wishlist" types of ideas. We recorded all that info around May.

Bobhead post is a perfect example of the type of changes/fixes/tweaks the guys are looking for.

Borrowing an idea from NBA 2K12 and it's Legends Mode, I'd like to see player-specific stat overlays during the game.

For example, let's say Ichiro guns down a runner at 3B. I'd like to then see the camera cut back to Ichiro for a couple of seconds and a graphic go up on the screen showing how many career assists he has.
