    To be done...

    Gameplay

    Baserunning

-- Remove preloading steals. This may be too drastic a change, but what I mean is like what Bobhead said earlier. Make user input count for how good a jump a base stealer has. I'm just taking it further and make it like "early-steal" which is already implemented in the game. If you think about it, there really isn't anything that clearly distinguishes early-steal from regular steal. IRL a runner can take off whenever he wants. And as much as I hate online early stealers who do it just to annoy the opponent, I actually like the dimension it adds to the pitching, the fact that I have to hold runners. With the chance of early-stealing, I actually need to think about when the runner takes off (with regular stealing, I don't have to because it will always be after I deliver to the plate). And thinking about runners, it takes off concentrations toward hitters. That's exactly what running game can add to the game... and I like it! So why not make it the right way to steal? If this is implemented, then it's also essential to make it very hard to go back to the base; once a runner takes off, let him run for a while till giving an option to go back to the original base. What makes early stealing annoying online is that a runner can keep going back to the base easily... it just prolong the game time.

-- CPU early steals. So the previous item explains why I think running game would add a depth that's currently lacking. Perhaps a significant change in the BR interface won't happen for the '12 installment, but to make HUM players guard against running games against CPU, it may be a good idea to add CPU early steals. That way, at least HUM should be aware that CPU base runners *can* take off if you don't pay enough attention to them.

-- Given a major change in base running/stealing interface probably won't happen, give less jump with an early steal and/or make pitchers and fielders react faster. This is mostly online gaming issue, but many gamers use early-steal (with a regular steal timing) just to get GREAT jump on steal. It doesn't matter who the stealer is, David Ortiz steals like Rickey Henderson given an early steal sign. Prince Fielder is a second coming of Lou Brock. This makes home steal unusually successful.

-- Tone down pickoff success. It's just ridiculously easy to pick off runners once they take just one-step lead.

-- (for RTTS) Make it easier to steal. To me it's too hard in '11 to steal even with BR speed/ability/aggressiveness maxed out.

-- (for RTTS) Forward by a pitch. I like controlling base runner in RTTS but it takes too long waiting for every pitch. 1/2 or 3/4 at bats is only a limited time-saver, but when I'm trying to steal, I actually want to wait and run on a particular count, which is only possible if I go through every pitch. So if we can skip forward pitch by pitch, it would be cool...

Thought of one more thing that bugs me.

In Milwaukee when you hit a home run and it shows Bernie slide down the slide it shows him stand up go limp and then disappear before the camera cuts to another scene. The fact he disappears always bothers me. (Yes the Brewers are my team heh)

the only two things that i can think of that, to me, need improvement:

        -baserunning controls
        -improved fielder reaction time

These are my two biggest and really only pet peeves. I would love for them to just take a look (I am sure they have) at MVP 2005's baserunning controls. They were the best. Simple, responsive, easy.

Now I don't have too much trouble with the analog base running controls but every now and then I get caught and they can be wonky.

Fielding is an area that I am torn. I went to auto fielding (user throwing) after a year of total frustration on The Show 2009. I just gave up. The animations cause a lot of the issues. But when I went to auto fielding the game looked amazing. Like a real game on tv and the ratings dictated everything in that regard. If they improve fielding they have to go with less animations.....I don't think they will do that. I loved fielding on MVP 2005 but is was choppy compared to the beauty of The Show. And being a ball player.....it is my favorite part of the game IRL. But I gave up on that part (being user controlled) as it was too frustrating. Too many times I would just throw my arms up as I tried to change to a closer fielder or dive for a ball , and the ball already flew out of the infield and my outfielder would be falling flat on his face because of the delay and the dive I tried with my infielder.

          Anyway

          1) Baserunning control upgrade

          2) Weekly around the league wrap up show

I tried the analog controls and went right back to classic controls. Don't take those options away. I had no problems with classic pitching, timed hitting and auto fielding. It feels so sim in that regard.

Not much else for me....the game (Show 2011) is legendary.

CPU Pitchers Balls and Strikes needs some miner tweaking maybe??

Maybe its just because I am just not very good at this game but I feel that 99% of the pitchers in MLB 11 The Show throw way to many Strikes compared to real life!

I can understand if a #1, #2 or even a #3 can throw a lot of strikes. But in MLB 11 The Show even the #5 Pitchers and even the bullpen guys throw too many strikes compared to real life.

For example in real life you see bullpen guys come in and can't find the strike zone and are very wild sometimes. This hardly ever happens in MLB 11 The Show. It seems like every pitcher in MLB 11 The Show is an All Star.

I guess what I am saying is I would like to see your just ok average pitchers throw a little more balls and maybe be more wild then they currently are.

Or maybe the strike zone needs some adjusting? Either way to many pitches are called strikes in this game.

Does anyone here agree with me on this? Or is it really just me?

I also think the bullpen logic could still be tweaked too. Managers still pull pitchers too early sometimes.

I am not saying it needs to be a major tweek just a little one perhaps.

I would like to see some new Cut Scenes.

Like for example how about a new Cut Scene at the end of the game with the Catcher holding his Mask or lifting up his mask when the winning team congratulate each other.

In real life the Catcher almost always is holding or lifts up his Mask when he walks back to the pitcher to congratulate him and his team mates.

More random Cut Scenes would be nice so you don't always see the same one over and over.

I REALLY LOVE this idea. I love weather and would love to see a better dynamic weather system. Maybe the commentators talk about before or during the game that there maybe showers moving in before this game is over. The ability to have storms approach whether it be rain and wind, just rain, snow storm, or just wind. Weather is also a big part of baseball
Imagine late in the season having to decide whether or not to start your ace because of possible rain later in the game... Ahhh the possibilities and strategy related!

They need a huge presentation overhaul but here's some small things

When a pitcher leaves the mound after an inning, you know how sometimes (in real life) the camera man runs up by him so the camera is under the pitcher and the screen is shaking a little bit?

Do that in the game...when your pitcher is walking off, put a camera out in front of him and on the ground, and have the screen shake a little bit. It would be an easy, small thing but it would be a nice change of pace.

Or even have the camera view like that when a guy hits a homer and is on his way to homeplate. Put a camera under him and have the screen shake like what you see with the postseason presentation on FOX.

So you'll hit a drive deep to center and you'll always know if it's gone or not by watching the baserunners. If they hesitate, it's in the park. if they trot it's gone.

Still to be done... of course!!

                        Presentation

-- Make fast play mode even faster. There may be places (like foul ball, between pitches) where the time can still be saved. I like watching CPU vs CPU games, but taking 45 min per game on average is still kinda long.

-- Super fast play mode!! This belongs to a wishlist category, so I'm not really hopeful about it, but if possible I want all my games (those played by myself and between CPUs) to be played through the same simulation engine. Simmed games go through a different engine and just knowing that takes a certain degree of realism off of playing through a season, not just because I don't like the feeling of "well it's all dice rolling after all" but because I think the gameplay engine is very well done. I'd love to use that mode to "sim" all the games that I don't play if possible, even if it takes a min to sim a single game...

I've noticed that some animations kick in before the events happen in the field. For thing like a HR the game knows the outcome since celebration cam of something needs to replace the regular gameplay presentation. Apparently for some plays the outcome has been computed already, and then displayed on the field...

What I noticed was that when an outfielder "misses" a cutoff man, he actually starts moving to a side before the throw, as if he knew the throw would be wide off him. Only a tiny fraction of a second early, but you clearly see this in replays and could even use to take an extra base...

It's not as much a downer but some plays don't feel as organic because of this. Not really meaning to be super picky though...

This would be great, but I have a feeling that we havent seen it in yet because of a system limitation. I have no real reason to believe this, i just think it would have been added already if they could easily...same with ball boys/girls.

                                But I'll remain hopeful :-)
