    FRANCHISE

Get rid of the height/weight/age stat line at the beginning of franchise seasons.

I know this was something Knight tried to get implemented late in the cycle last year [in vids of 11 we even saw the H/W/A thing look like it was on the road to being fixed] and we hope with a full year under their belts that it can fnally show last years stats.

    thanks.

      6) Better draft options. Again in 30 team control, I should be able to set teams to "AUTO DRAFT" and not have to draft for every fricking team.

30 Team control is the biggest thing in sports gaming in my opinion, but every game that has it does a pretty poor job of implementation. The main thing that makes it great is that it makes you the AI (and a human will always be better than a CPU - well it seems that way in sports gaming). That doesn't mean we should have to do EVERYTHING to make it viable.
How about simply fixing the trade mechanism so none of that crazy stuff happens?

Also why are contract years no longer variable. You used to be able to swap a player with a free agent and the contract years would vary each time you swapped. I was able to set up all my contracts with real life years and even managed to set up some decent contract amounts too.

Now contracts are locked. They should change this back to the old way.

Yet another poorly thought out and implemented design change.

Well...that was a glitch...so they actually "fixed" that.

If you can't transfer rosters from one year to the next how about
having it so you can mass transfer say 100 at a time into free agency. That way you wont have to do them 1 at a time and this would save a lot of time. And if you could some how mass down load them say you just check the ones you want off of the mld the show site that would save a lot of time.

hope you consider these as we put hours into this game making are own rosters, also one complaint I spent a good 4 hours setting up my rosters in season mode last night it just seems that there must be a quicker way to do this. I don't know why year after year the cpu part of the game makes changes to the roster. Back in the day this never happened you fixed your line ups and you were good to go.

thanks again love the game its the best

WTF?!?!? If that's the case, then that was the greatest glitch ever!!!

I actually gave the developers credit for creating a back door way to allow correct contracts.

              Silly Me....

Bring back the Franchise Goals in 12, I really missed them in 11. Also, consider using the team money for player and staff contracts. If not, have more things you use the team money for. It just piles up year after year.

the one feature I would like most is create a stadium, Its been done before in other baseball games. I just think you could have a lot of fun building your own stadium, also create a team with the ability to create uniforms.

-Coaches: I understand that they have to negotiate with each manager/coach (I hope Davey is in the game), but would love to see Bench and Bullpen coaches added. PLEASE allow me to fire/promote coaches mid-season (Or at least before the regular season)!. I really would hate to be stuck with"Tom Turner" generic manager with negative attributes hampper my hitting ability where Davey Johnson would be a contact boost. Speaking of managerial attributes, would love to see a dynamic coaching impact with player personalities implemented in the future. (IE: Lance Berkman would be less likely to sign with a manager who preaches pitching & defense and would have a slight decline in performance where with a manager who relies on power would be a good fit for berkman and increase his abilities ect)

-Not sure if this can be done but would love to have the 40man roster with a default 25-man roster based on the update (so SCEA updates would stay intact when advancing to regular season).. the other 15 on the 40man would be sent to appropriate minor league but be protected). Would still like the option to "swap players out" but this would save the time consuming task of demoting 15 players for each team, or advancing and having a regular player stuck on waivers.

                    - Trade Logic... I use 30 team control so this isnt a major issue for me when doing real-life trades as updates. I am not sure if this is the cawse but would love prospects to have trade value weighed more heavily than their current raiting
WISHLIST:Would love if this was a two-tier system or so based on A) team needs and B) value of trade (with feedback from the "opposing GM") For example If I wanted to trade Jose Reyes to the Cubs I would get feedback that would say "Starlin Castro is our shortstop and a rising star trade declined." Even such things as free agents to be where a team a step away may want Reyes/Pujols to make a playoff run but a rebuilding team wouldn't want a year/half-year rental for a player they have little chance of resigning.

Contracts-- Would love to be able to re-sign prior to the regular season and hopefully during the season as well. Would be cool to see in future editions a player morale/team chemistry effect on free agents resiging with their current team (with boosts given to that team the more compatable they are)

                    Manage Only Mode

_ Perhaps a system similar to "Gameflow" where you the CPU would have a default for each batter, but you can change from full situational options as needed/wanted.

-Have me send the pitching coach out, with the full cutscene... (Would also like to see the full cut scene in regular gameplay with a "report" that shows how confidence was effected) I hate when he goes out on his own especially if it is before I want to send him out to stall for the pen. *Also would like the ability to go out to the mound "myself" to check on the pitcher/ set defense (I know I can from menu but perhaps a small attribute boost for that play).

                    - Pleas allow me to choose my teams uniforms. I know the manager probably doesn't care, but I want to wear the proper uni's on proper days!

You can do this in this year's game, at least in 30 person control. Turn Waivers to Manual for CPU, cut a player, wait the 3 days for him to pass through waivers, and sign him out of FA. It can be done in spring training and during the regular season.

I've finished a season playing as the Indians, when starting the new season the announcers still said the 'This is a guy the Indians reeeeeeaally missed last year' referring to Grady Sizemore's injury. In my just completed season, Sizemore had not been injured the entire year, and actually won the silver slugger award and the gold glove award.

                        - It would be nice to not only have some new announcers (Tom Hamilton would be amazing, but that'll never happen) but for them to be dynamic and actually react to what happened the season before. It seems like sometimes they do. Like Carlos Santana was referred to as "The American League's best hitter" or something of that nature my entire season. But from my experience it seems to only refer to the current season and not so much the last.

The four things that franchise mode really needs are:

                          1. DH role as a position

                          2. Obviously much improved trade logic, but as long as the user has the ability to cancel trades, I'm fine with that.

                          3. Tags for franchise players. Players like Jeter or David Wright or Ryan Zimmerman would be very difficult to trade for.

                          4. A ticker or something to announce things around the league (DL placements, promotion/ demotion to/from MLB, scores). This would be really helpful to feel more connected to the rest of the league.

This is such a fantastic game, just a few tweaks to really tighten up franchise mode.

                            You know what I realized?

We need every minor league team to have their own manager, pitching coach, etc. even if they are fake.

I mean, lets say the Las Vegas 51's have a manager who has led his team to back to back titles, his players are progressing well, and has gained respect from MLB teams. I would love for teams to make a push for him to be an MLB manager. I would not only be scouting players around the league (and draft time) but I would see how other minor league teams are performing to see if I can find the next La Russa, Cox, etc. Hey its a game
                            Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!

I love this idea. Even if they just assigned each team a minor league manager that would be cool. Also, I would like to be able to make contract offers to base, pitching and hitting coaches if I am offering them a promotion. Both mine and other teams. I hate having to fire a coach just to re-offer them a contract for a different position.

In order for this to be fun in a meaningful way, the game needs to implement (general) manager/coach personalities first. Without differences in managerial tendencies, I don't think this would be all that meaningful.
