I don't doubt for a second that if something hasn't changed, that could definitely mean there's a problem in doing so. However, contrapositively, if there isn't a problem in doing so, I'd like to think it's something that not only can be changed, but ultimately will be changed sometime down the road. At that point, I think it's all about artistic merit (as in, it boils down to whether they believe they are making the right artistic decision when choosing a specific color palette for each stadium, or for the stadiums in general). You cannot ever hark subjectivity, even though you may be at disagreement.

      Progressive Field Fixes

First off, thank you for this past edition of The Show. San Diego Studios and SCEA have done a great job. Thank you.

With that said, let's dive into what I really hope will be fixed and updated with Progressive Field for next year's rendition of The Show. I've included links to what the park looks like currently in MLB 11: The Show with a description of what needs to changed/updated/altered.

Concerning center/right center (http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/903...eps3cap001.png), the ballpark no longer has the picnic area with the trees. We have not had that area for quite a few years now, and it has now become Heritage Park, the Cleveland Indians in-park hall of fame. In addition, the porch area behind the seats now has an outdoor bar/standing room area that now occupies that space (and has for a few years as well), as well as an SUV that is perched in the seats and shoots off confetti and what-not when the home team hits a home run and wins the ballgame. Not asking that it actually does that, but that it is represented as well as the bar area and hall of fame in next year's game.

Concerning the upper deck facing in the right field corner(http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/6...eps3cap002.png): We display our Division, League and World Championship flags on the facing of the upper deck (above the mezzanine) as well as a newly acquired 'strike out meter.' Our Championship flags were sorely, sorely missed in this year's game and I ask that they be represented next year. In addition there is now a picnic/bar area in the right field corner where some of the seats currently occupy in game. Also, there are 4 light towers in right field, not 3. Also, there is a LED ribbon board along the facing of the mezzanine on the first base side that is not present in game.

Concerning the dugouts (http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/3...eps3cap003.png), The tops of the dugouts for the Indians are not green, but are painted red and blue with Chief Wahoo graphics and a 'Welcome to Progressive Field' greeting on them. Also, there are six (6) light towers along the top of the park on the first base side.

Our rain tarp (also missing from this year) is located along the rail behind the third base foul line (http://img541.imageshack.us/img541/6...eps3cap004.png) to the right of the sign. Also, there are 6 light towers on this side, not 3, and there is an LED ribbon board on the facing of the bottom row of suites.

Misc.: I noticed a shift in color on the outfield walls and padding along the base lines and the back stop when playing. During the day (in game) the green used to color the padding takes on a blue-ish hue almost becoming teal in color. Quite the opposite happens when playing a night game (in game)- at that time the colors of the padding/walls go back to the deep green that it is normally supposed to be. In real life, the color stays that deep rich green and does not show any blue-ish hues. Also, can you not have a scrolling Majestic logo above the scoreboard as there is no such type of board up there, and can the board along the facing of the mezzanine in right field not scroll the Majestic logo as well? Can we have Indians team logos/script scrolling or some generic "What a Game!" type as seen in other in-game parks?

I thank you in advance for your time and consideration on rectifying these mistakes and omissions for MLB The Show 12. I understand there is a lot of work that goes on to make this possible and not every minute detail is going to make it, but I'm hoping that the surprising good year the team had will make you take notice and update Progressive Field to the state of grandeur that it (and the Cleveland Indians fans that play The Show) deserves.

      Thank you kindly.

I would kill to finally get rid of these teal walls at Comerica. So ugly. They need to be a dark green! I don't see how this couldn't be done.

          Replace Comerica with Busch.

It's strange though, on my TV the colors are all off, but when I play on the big TV in the living room, they all look like the appropriate colors.

I can't vouch for your TV I guess, but when I put my screenshots on a thumb drive and then on the television, I got the colors that I'm supposed to get from the game, and then when looking at my Photoshopped images, they really look great! Like, you don't realize what you're missing until you actually get the visual comparison on screen.

              Shibe Park Classic Stadium fix:

The huge Ballantine Beer ("Shibe Park" in the game) scoreboard in right centerfield along the wall was IN PLAY in real life. No home run by hitting it, which is how it played in the game.

I'm not one to nitpick but one thing I have noticed about Dodger Stadium is that there is too much space in the middle of the two outfield pavilians.

In this image, notice how the flag poles make a kind of "square". But in the game the flags are further apart and make a "rectangle".

And here is a video of Dodger Statium in the game where the flag poles are way too far apart.

Not a big deal and Dodger Stadium has always looked great in The Show, but this is the one thing that I notice.

This may not be a big deal for most people, but the HHH Metrodome baggy needs to be in play. As of now the baggy doesn't connect to the bottom of the wall and therefore any ball that should hit the baggy goes for a HR. I use this stadium when using classic rosters so it's a very big problem when playing there.

This would really be great if those were added this year!

You know an older Sony baseball game did in fact have outside shots of the stadiums.
One of the 989 Stuido baseball games had them i think.

MLB 06: The Show for PS2 had them. Can't remember if they ditched them in 07 or not.

MLB 2k7 was awesome, pre game they had like an outside shot of the stadium while that one reporter lady talked about pitching matchups and the weather. Liked they zoomed up on the upper deck (street view) at Comerica Park so you could see the Tiger statues above the main entrance. Damn I remember they had that sweet music playing under the reporter. That game was awesome, especially the presentation.

                              Progressive Field:

In center field there is now "Heritage Park" where the trees and picnic areas are in MLB 11: The Show. It's a ring of honor of sorts, an inside the park Indians hall of fame. It's been in the park for a while, yet it hasn't made an appearance in the game. If you could implement this in the game it;d be great! Maybe do a pan around of the plaques or something like that in between half innings?

Pictures of Heritage Park (massive picture warning):
                              Spoiler

Also, the scoreboard built into the left field wall looked quite bad last year in any close ups. It'd appear blurred and very pixely if the camera focused on the left fielder or just panned over the crow in the left filed bleachers. Is there a way to fix this? Last but not least, the highest deck in Progressive Field is at a very steep angle in real life, but in the game it's almost flat. The super steep upper deck gives the park a unique feel, and I miss that in The Show. Could you please make it steeper in next years game? Thanks.

                                Angel Stadium

If there's any way these changes can be made to Angel Stadium, it would be great! First, out in right field there's the Budweiser Patio and Diablo's Fierce BBQ. Also, the K counter has been replaced with ads.

The structure for Budweiser Patio is in the game, but it's missing the red trim.

                                Diablo's Fierce BBQ

A few things out in center. The building which used to be blue is now black. Also the trees now have more of a flat top to them. The batter's eye is now astroturf as well.

Lastly, the A on the mound should be significantly darker.

                                Thanks SCEA!
