99% sure, no. The advancements they did with the graphics, lighting and what the stadiums are doing have the PS3 pumping. And thus no longer will you be able to have it native 1080p.

Enigma could you elaborate on what they've done on the lighting part this year?

Having seen someone else's comment and watching the CES video it doesn't seem like the bill of the hats is to scale (length wise) with the rest of the hat. Replaying '11 it seems like they have always been this way but have become more apparent with the new flat bill style. I only make this nitpick because I assume it's something a programmer could easily measure and isn't a subjective answer. If it's not easy or I'm wrong about the size being off than sorry for wasting your time.

One thing that is different this year will be selectable bill configs. I assume you're talking about Matt Latos' cap in particular? I think it may be more of an optical illusion with him wearing a flat bill (and I agree, it does look off a little.)

Either way, we will ask to take a look at it during the community event.

I wasn't sure which of the Community Day threads this could really go in, so this seems vague enough that it can work. It's a silly small thing, but Mike Stanton was named Michael in MLB 11. Has this been changed in this year's game?

And a couple of more questions about the Marlins:

What will the new stadium be named in the game? Marlins Park, Marlins Ballpark, etc?

Will the new home run feature be in?

Are there going to be animated fish in the backstop aquariums like the rays at Tropicana Field?

Will the players be wearing their new Miami caps in their player photos?

Can you guys see if we have the ability to edit the color of catcher's helmets this year? For some reason the give the Reds catcher's black helmets. The Reds only have red helmets. It kinda drives me crazy to be pitching to Ryan Hanigan and he has a black catcher's helmet. Some of the uniform combinations have him with a Red one. I'm not sure why some of them have black. If we can't edit this, can you see if they can make sure the Reds only have Red catcher's helmets?

In the video with the Reds and Phillies, it looks like they gave Hanigan (and the Reds catchers) a new helmet. Its mainly red with a little black. Which is what Hanigan usually wears.

By that I mean like if you wanted a specific sound to be played for all teams between inning music, is there an option that lets you do that instead of the user having to manually do that for each team? NHL games has that apply option and its real useful for some sounds(like break in play music)

Don't know if this counts as a graphics question, but will we be able to edit players facial hair this year? Someone like Bautista plays parts of a season without a beard, but most of the time he plays with a beard, so for someone like him, it'd be useful to add a beard.

Any graphic enhancements done to the weather system? Such as snow flurries or being able to see the players breath on cold evenings?

Borrowed these pictures from perfect zero's post in the uniform thread.

the game pic vs. real life pic of kinsler shows that things are way off from what they should look like as far as swings go. those two pics are a great comparison piece. have things been fixed this year to make swings look more like the real life kinsler pic?

I'd love to hear more about this. The swing/follow through animations have always been a bit disappointing to me & i'd love to see it re-done. if not, not sweat...just a hope.

This game is so good! I can only think of a couple of small visual
improvements:

1) any improvement with the overly caked on mud on the shoes?
If my shoes had this much mud on them would have scraped it
off before the game.

2) As I say "This game is a 9.99 out of 10 but if there is one little thing that stands out it's that "RING AROUND THE BAT"
Will we get a choice of RING or no RING?

Another thing I would like to see this year:

Will we see the 1956 Redlegs uniform with red & White hat with cut off sleeves? Hope so!

Is it easier to edit each players music this year instead of having to edit each player from the edit player screen? Maybe a specified menu where you can access every single player from each team?

This aspect of the game is a huge deciding factor for me this year, from what I have seen swings and followthroughs look the same as last year, but I know the videos out right now are from early builds. If the finished product looks the same as last year on this front its highly unlikely I will be getting the game this year.
