Could you also check if there will be some different cut scenes (or true broadcast for that matter) when a reliever comes in. It's been one and the same cut scene for years.

Re: Community Day - GRAPHICS & SOUND - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
EN,
First, thanks for your help on our posts. I am actually a "sounds" freak and really love what they have put in the game already...but I would have them look into the folllowing...
Questions for them....
1) I think it might have been asked already, but what is the total amount of tracks and chants/yells they are allowing us this year?
2) Will they give us enough tracks this year to not have to use the song editor (do we have still cut them in 3's?)
3) Can you get a list of all the Sounds of The Show slots for this year?
4) What is new to the Sounds of The Show this year?
Also here are some simple bugs to address....
1) Away Pitcher slot. Away Pitcher being taken out---songs never played
2) Inning and Relief Pitcher transitions. Essentially, stop the in-between innings song and play the relief pitcher song when he enters the game in the beginning of an inning.
Relief pitcher song never played if you put him in the game in the beginning of the inning (it would still play your in-between innings song). That sucks when you have a closer come into the 9th and it is still playing an in-between innings song when Enter Sandman or Hells Bells should have been played.
3) Caught Stealing slot. The Caught Stealing song would play everytime the runner was going no matter what. When the runner was going....if there was a foul ball, pop-up, or whatever the song would still play.
4) Base Hit slot. Quite simply, there was a long delay between when the base hit happenend and the song played.
Thanks so much!Comment

I will check on sound slots.
But I do not imagine it growing with how much you can have due to memory limitations.
To make it grow they have to rob memory from somewhere else in the game.
But I will definitely find out.
Thanks for the other information as well. I will test it out.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Can you also see if they can add an option to only turn off the PA announcer for certain players? This would come in handy when you use one of those "batter walk up music with PA announcer sound files for the batter walk up slot. Yes you could just turn down the sound for the PA Announcer but then you would not hear the PA announcer for any players that are not using a "batter walk up music with PA announcer sound file. So option to turn off the PA announcer for any player would fix this issueI will check on sound slots.

It would also be nice if they could make the between innings a little longer. Especially for the 7th inning stretch or 8th inning at Fenway
Currently the first batter in the next inning comes up to the plate too quickly and does not allow the music between inning to finish.
I would love if they made the 7th inning stretch Special where you would hear the music playing and the camera would fly around the stadium zoom in on the fans.
And of course you can always skip it with the press of the X button.
Thanks EnigmaNemesis and thaSLAB

I think someone asked this but, about the chalk at home plate being re-lined,redone every few innings. Will that be fixed, or console limitation?Comment

Re: Community Day - GRAPHICS & SOUND - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
I will ask about it, but I am sure this is NOT an issue with console limitations (the opposite, most likely.) It's more of a "cool" feature to appeal to the mass (non-hardcore baseball fans)Comment

Re: Community Day - GRAPHICS & SOUND - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
I'd be very appreciative if one of you fellas could ask this... :
Have postseason celebration been changed AT ALL this year? We have had the same dogpile animation since like.. i don't know
08? '09? maybe? I hate playing a full season and winning it all and having to look at the dinky 8 second dogpile animation haha. It's like I played all that... for this?
On top of that, are there any overhead shots of the stadium/field? As in after innings/when a game ends and the commentators wrap it up?
Thanks, would be cool!

Re: Community Day - GRAPHICS & SOUND - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
Lighting at night- I love the shadows and lighting during day games, but night games have always lacked that glow like they have in real life. I'm wondering if there's any changes to this, which would replicate real life stadiums at light, that luminance that comes off the lit up signs, and just that glow would add so much to the lighting experience, so I'm wondering if they have improved it any or can anymore with the ps3s current hardware.
Mow Patterns- previously mentioned, much needed, feel like the grass has never changed with this series.
More Cloud Formations any changes or new patters, colors in the sky?
More weather patterns
More camera angles, any cool scenes outside the park or from above.
Thats really all I have, its a pretty short list, because this game is already so great. Thanks enigma and slabComment

I can answer this now my boy.
99% sure, no. The advancements they did with the graphics, lighting and what the stadiums are doing have the PS3 pumping. And thus no longer will you be able to have it native 1080p.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Community Day - GRAPHICS & SOUND - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries
I can answer that too and that would be no. There is barely enough room to keep this thing going at 60fps in 720p. A 1080p framebuffer would bring any large scale PS3 game to its knees at 60fps.
The RSX and split memory are simply not capable of this in any shape or form except for the most simplistic games. The tech in the RSX alone is ancient history. Less than a 7800 gpu.
Man, we need a new gen. I so wish this game was on my PC. It would bring me to my knees.
