Re: Community Day - VITA Version - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries

I was wondering if the Vita has stat displays when your playing a season or franchise. I'm talking more then batt avg, hr, rbi and stolen bases. I watched the new ps3 videos and saw league leaders, night batting averages, how they batted in the last few games and etc show up on the screen. So basically my quesiton is with the fast play on the vita will these same stats show up if i'm playing a season on the vita. I sure hope so it immerses you so much more when those statisical graphics pop up on the screen.

Any plans to use the VITA's camera funtionality in the future?

It would also be cool to use the VITA (ala like the WiiU) when you're in RTTS as an outfielder and use the VITA to look around and track the flyball. Basically using it to "move your head"

Anyways just curious what if any, plans there are to take advantage of the VITA.

Question. Does the Vita version have all of the accurate broadcast camera views when it comes to pitching? Or is it one default view for the portable version?

It has all the same gameplay camera angles the PS3 has.

I REALLY want a Vita right now but the $250 price tag is just too much. I'm waiting for a price drop then I'll pull the trigger on buying it.

Someone said Vita won't support Sounds of the Show. My question is if I set up Sounds of the show to teams and players on the PS3, then transfer franchise file to Vita, then back again to PS3, will it keep the same sounds or will it like reset it?

Sounds of The Show is tied into profile not Franchise. Which it saves then in the "Game Data" part on your hard drive. It was changed in '11 I believe to this set up.

                  So you are good.

This. Especially for us old guys. When the reflexes go it pretty much rules out being competitive in online baseball. I'd much rather have them devote the resources to improving the single-player experience (where I can turn pitch speed way the hell down )...

Well then that wouldn't be fair to those that prefer online. SCEA has to have a happy medium.
I'm right there with you as far as "old guys" though. I do ok though. Just hope the new camera helps my depth perception.

I've met and played against a couple "older" (> 40) guys online and they played fine... Don't let your age become an excuse... :P

I think online shouldn't be neglected at all... it's where things are headed and I bet if online plays just as smoothly as offline (don't know if it's technically possible for a baseball game, but nonetheless that's the ultimate goal), that opens up a lot more ways to enjoy this game.

I went and dropped $250 on a PS Vita and $100 on reserving copies of 12 for PS3 & Vita thanks to this thread. I hope it's worth it. Can't wait to try it out. Haven't really played The Show much in a couple of years & I'm really hoping the Vita helps keep me into it all season.

I can hold my own with The Show. A heavy amount of strategy over skills is far easier than a game of video football.

I simply hope they get a full fledged online franchise up sooner than later.

Online franchise with player drafts, trades,etc... That would be awesome.

Don't know if this has been asked but on homeruns and foul balls will the ball still bounce off of objects and fans jump for the ball. I know it's stupid but always loved his homeruns and watch them bounce off objects and always watch fans jumping for the souvenirs.
