Since I haven't seen the game in full I can't be sure, but think of it this way...

The Vita version doesn't have any post-play action. That is, there aren't any cut scenes or automatic replays once a play finishes. Normally, those are the times when Soup or Eric will come in and make some comments. Because it goes straight to the next batter, I don't think it will give them a chance to say anything, so I think it's all Vasgersian except for pre-game, post-game, and mid-at bat.

Really it's a shame when you compare what EA did on the vita with FIFA, which has full cut scenes and auto replay. My prediction is that they could list it as a "feature" this year, but the demand will be strong for full broadcast in 13 especially in comparison to this year's ps3 version.

I'll be using the Vita on the plane mostly, and I agree with the SCEA group to drop the cutscenes. They have to strike a fair balance between simulation (which they have with the full feature set and franchise transfer) and quick pick up and play.

If you want to sit down and play a longer, drawn out game, then that's much better suited to surround sound and a HDTV, not a 5" screen and headphones.

Just my $.02, next year they can maybe add some new Vita tweaks to differentiate the two games, but for now, I'm thrilled they got franchise transfer and as much of the feature set in the Vita version as they did.

Re: Community Day - VITA Version - Questions/Concerns/Inquiries

I just had a couple questions if anyone can answer them.

          1. Does the Vita version have all of the batting and pitching stance that the PS3 version has? Or were some cut out to save room? I guess I'm wondering the same about fielding animations and whatnot too.

          2. Do the Vita and PS3 share the same rosters from the vault? Or would someone need to make specific minor league rosters for the Vita?

I was also going to ask about the commentary but that was just asked.

These questions have been answered somewhere so I will give you what I know..

            1. yes, they are all there. They had plenty of room as the power of the vita was not an issue.

            2. Vita and PS3 share same roster through the vault.

I have a question. Seeing as I will be flying into San Diego instead of LAX on Thursday morning I was wondering if the fellows over at SCEA will let me swing buy and pick up my copies of The Show for the Vita/PS3 a little early? In return I will make sure they get the next new release of there choice"EARLY" courtesy of "FLIGHTWHITE" Gotta deal????

I was serious but in all seriousness will analog hitting be used on the Vita? Haven't seen but 1 video out are there more showing the game on the Vita?

All hitting, pitching and fielding options on the PS3 version are available on the Vita.

Just unboxed my vita. My goodness is this one beautiful piece of technology. My first thought was, after messing around with the analog sticks, I think it may actually be easier to analog hit. Its such a small stick that the movt back and forth is so quick. I can't wait to see the Show on this thing.

In the video above it shows button swing. Can you use analog hitting on the Vita version?
