I'm just as excited about March 6th and not to get technical but it may be wiser to go with the vehicle from part 1 or 2 that way you're not dependent on a train for the Show!

There are alot more stats this year. RISP, VSL, VSR etc.....tons that you can access anywhere you can highlight a player.

Edit: Those are just a few of the new ones!!

Looking good. I know this is just silly nitpicking, but why is he still in the game as Michael Stanton?

I really like the improvement to the Manage Roster screen. Now you don't have to go to the player card to see what the number is(for when their number was changed and you want to see who has that number instead) and they added stats to it so you don't have to go to the player card again to look at the season stats.

Do the stats mean anything? If I have "Player A" who has stats of .700 VSL and .050 VSR, does that affect their attributes at all? I mean, sure its nice to know the stats, but does it affect the game in anyways?

                nope.

now if player A had VD, then yes.
he'd most likely start the game on the DL.

Moving on to other areas of change, we’ve gone back through the player generation logic to bring you more realistic skill sets for the CPU generated players. You will now see more authentic pitch repertoires, with velocities to match, and less overall balanced players (more speedsters, good hitting/average, below average fielding, etc.).
Does that mean no more 100 mph fastballs and 60 mph knuckleballs on the same pitcher?

Also I actually enjoy the "newspaper" feature. It can certainly use some improvement but it is a concept I find interesting.

I did not see any drafted pitcher with a knuckle ball which I think is good...they are very rare.

You don't get enough stats on the statistics page? It takes about three days to scroll across the friggin' thing.

I would think the attributes affect the stats. If a player has 99 contact vs left I would expect his vsl avg to be high. Progression and regression would alter attributes and in turn..avg.

                          I'm a Mike.
But on all the paperwork that I get from anywhere....it's Michael.
My family calls me Michael. My friends and co-workers are lazy and call me Mike.
                          His name is Michael Stanton.

I can see that but does it work in the reverse? If I have a player who is a 50 contact vs L but for some reason in year 2013, he decides to hit .560 in the year against LHP. Will his contact vs L go up the next year due to his average vs LHP the year before? Otherwise I don't see much point of the stats, then just as a curiosity.

Thanks Knight, thats what I thought. Has there ever been any talk of implementing that? Would people want that? Even if its a minimal improvement/downgrade, I think it would be cool to have the player improve based on stats.
