Development time, or people's playing time?

If development time, again... no problem. However, I think I also recall Russell saying not to count on that (or a smaller ball option) being in for next year either.

Because of my concern for load times I was going to get the digital version. Then, an early hard copy became available and, well, I just couldn't resist.

I haven't really thought about it, which is a good thing. Not a problem IMO.

I thought they meant dev time.

As for Ramone saying things about future iterations and the things that will receive attention....I think we know how understanding people are when things may change those good intentions...so I can understand his reluctance to talk about such things.

Only time will tell if they incorporate more presentation in.

Is there any other advantages to the digital download?
        I may go that route.

        Thanks!

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?

I thought the hard copies were supposed to be faster than the digital version?

I would rather get the hard copy as I can get it cheaper (coupon code), but since I imagine this will be my primary game it makes more sense to have it a digital copy.

          What is everyone else doing?

Also, can anyone with the game answer if there are signature home run swings/trots?

If I could return my vita, I would, I threw the box away! I can't believe I was so stupid not try this game first. But when you hear these types of impressions it's not hard to tell it is certainly not worth $ 300+.

It seems the Vita card version is slightly faster though the difference is very marginal:

It's not like reading of DVD, so it makes sense.

I agree with you. I save all my boxes and receipts. Even though the vita itself is amazing, I bought it just for this game. I might take mine back and just buy a copy of 11 for the psp. They can call it a design decision or any other nice piece of terminology but zero excuse for them to regress on a better machine. Like I said, 09 has replay and presentation and a new gen 3 years later, does not. Garbage. I love The Show series but I refuse to reward half crap or rushed work.

I bet the ps3 version will be amazing though!

Instead of making a rushed decision (again), why don't you wait until more than a few people have the game to leave impressions and for reviews to start coming out?

This game on the Vita destroys ANY version on the PSP.

                    That is a FACT!

Give it rest people. To say you would go back to '11 on the PSP over this game, (especially not having played it yet), over a replay here and there? Low res, muddy faced, no detail, no umpire having, poor dated controls, having replay?

The PSP was not a shining example of eye candy where you "admired replays"! I skipped them damn things.

So enough with the "lazy" and "rushed" talk.

If you don't know, then don't toss out that terminology.

Laugh all you wish. It looked good for the psp AND had presentation. Vita version?

Only "presentation" the PSP had was an auto replay. It had nothing else comparable to the PS3, hell even the PS2.

Vita version looks better, has the majority of the graphical features the PS3 version has...

Franchise, dual analogs, umpires, all the ball physics, all the animations and fielding, cross platform saving for RttS, season and franchise, cross platform FULL roster file (meaning OSFM on a handheld), and is not a "roster update". (Basically a PS3 in your hands with gameplay!)

I'll take all that over a muddy, pixelated, not even PS2 quality replay I just assumed skip, of a ball that has the same flight path with only 3-4 variations to it. With 3-4 fielding animations to shag it.

I was hardcore PSP player of this series, so you are barking up the wrong tree here. After playing the Vita version at the CE, there is no looking back.

This is a larger jump from PSP to Vita in handheld gaming, than PS3 '12 over '11 (which is a huge jump in the gameplay/feature department already).

But if an "auto replay" on a well dated version of the game is what you need to justify knocking the infinitely superior Vita version, all the power to you, I will still laugh out loud however.

                            Yes and yes!

The roster files for the Vita are the same for the PS3. So OSFM is coming to handhelds!!!

tbh all these impressions are right up my alley. I don't care about glitz and glamour. I care about gameplay, always have.

                                Quick fire gameplay? I'm in.

Knocking out games at supersonic speed? I may finish a full season, or even 2 this year.

Oh yeah and poratable trophies, for MLB the show? Well, duh.

                                Can't wait!
