as long as the gameplay is MLB The Show I'm in! I usually would skip presentation stuff, and trophies are addictive on the PS Vita!!!

Vita version looks better, has the majority of the graphical features the PS3 version has...

Franchise, dual analogs, umpires, all the ball physics, all the animations and fielding, cross platform saving for RttS, season and franchise, cross platform FULL roster file (meaning OSFM on a handheld), and is not a "roster update". (Basically a PS3 in your hands with gameplay!)

I'll take all that over a muddy, pixelated, not even PS2 quality replay I just assumed skip, of a ball that has the same flight path with only 3-4 variations to it. With 3-4 fielding animations to shag it.

I was hardcore PSP player of this series, so you are barking up the wrong tree here. After playing the Vita version at the CE, there is no looking back.

This is a larger jump from PSP to Vita in handheld gaming, than PS3 '12 over '11 (which is a huge jump in the gameplay/feature department already).

But if an "auto replay" on a well dated version of the game is what you need to justify knocking the infinitely superior Vita version, all the power to you, I will still laugh out loud however.
People who are questioning whether to get the Vita version are the people who are questioning whether to get the Vita itself, as they already have a PSP. Not all of us have the luxury to shell out $300 for an upgraded version of what they already have, even if the upgrade is astounding.

Thankfully you and I do, though!

No, a vid showed where you use The Show servers to upload one of each game mode (RTTS, franchise, etc).

That's what I thought, but I can't seem to find that video anywhere.

I'm looking forward to picking up the Vita tomorrow, along with the PS3 version of The Show. I've got some business travel coming up, so the Vita will certainly come in handy as I can play The Show, and also access my Netflix account and watch some TV shows or movies.

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?

Very stoked about the Vita version. I already had the Vita, been playing the heck out of it, and The Show was one of the main reasons I got the Vita.

I do not honestly see how someone can compare the PSP version to this, but to each his or her own, I reckon.

I love the cross platform sharing with this, because like most of you, I usually lose the t.v. war. Ive seen a few vids of the Vita game play on youtube, and they have been very, very impressive.

            Cant wait!

Sometimes you can find games on the PSN store by doing a text search for the game, that way you can buy it before the store updates around 5-7pm. I doubt it would be there at midnight tonight though, but you can try.

Then they should not even be questioning the merits of this radically superior game over the PSP version by using generic replays as their argument, if the real problem is that are not even on the Vita purchasing step yet.

Who played the PSP version for "presentations"?

                    Noone!

                    See my argument?

This game is superior in every way shape and form over the PSP version. And not a replay of the same hit type and animations you saw in the first 5 minutes is going to make the older roster update (now out of date) version better.

Just sounds to me like reaching for strings to justify why you can't purchase one yet. Which is fine. Not everyone can, understandable, but don't act like the PSP '11 would be "better" cause it replayed that foul ball hit.

                    That is transparent.

Just going to play devil's advocate here... if SCEA removed presentation options from the PS3 version and made it equivalent to the PSV's version of the game, would you be okay with that? Or a better question here... wouldn't it make the game inferior? To twist that around a bit, don't the presentations on the PS3 version make the game better?

Perhaps you misread my post. I have had a vita since launch. So while I can appreciate you trying to say the reason I will not like the vita version is because I cannot afford one, its simply not true. I even have a few games for it....../GASP! I'm sure the game will be fun. The show series is absolutely amazing. My point and I'm sure, points of others, is a game that is 3 years old (09 on the psp) and "inferior in every way", has presentation. Something that people, including myself, enjoy. While the new and "superior in every way" has little to none. The psp was not that rough to look at and you know it. I would rather see a homerun replay then a cleaner looking dudes face. That's just me.

I was responding to Blzer's argument on that matter. Not to anyone in particular.

As for yours. The PSP may not be that bad to look at for what it is. But having a simple replay does not presentation make, IMO.

And it is all about gameplay. Which the Vita version trumps the PSP in every way shape and form. Since it is essentially the same as the PS3. As well as a full roster and full franchise, much better graphics, OSDs, and better sounds/commentary (which add more value to presentation, IMO).

So a simple replay of a HR on an inferior playing version, rosters, game modes, etc.

Yeah, excuse me if I find it a tad silly.

                              Not the same.

This is a whole new game on a whole new system.

They are touting presentation in the PS3 version. Rightfully so. They made it clear about their design decision on a handheld many months ago. And never touted presentation on the handheld.

Not really a valid argument. You're talking about taking the same game on the same system and removing something... The Vita version is an entirely new game on an entirely new system compared to the PSP. Outside of a lack of instant replays (which oen can still access in the pause menu), there isn't a single thing about the PSP version that is "better"; graphics, gameplay, or otherwise.

People are literally saying they'd rather go back to a much inferior version of the game just to have a few replays cue up automatically. That makes zero sense.

And the taking shots at the devs and calling them lazy is completely laughable by some on here.
