I've heard that SCEA disabled quick-play for "creative decisions" and that they assured the Vita could handle broadcast presentation... what I question is why they would voluntarily restrict Vita users from experiencing broadcast? The decision should be up to the user to decide if they have the time or patience to play 1hr games or only 15min spurts...why make that decision for us?

I don't know. Call me paranoid, but maybe the system can't handle all the cut scenes seen on PS3? And the studio can't publicy bring attention to the Vita's limitations or be interpreted as bad mouthing it? Who knows. I'm still gonna love the game on Vita... I'm just bummed I don't get all the cutscenes like PS3 players, because Vita is the only thing I have access to right now.

I have FIFA for Vita right now and there are drops in framerate during some cutscenes and the player models, stadium, etc. aren't nearly as detailed or crisp as its PS3 counterpart.

I agree with every thing you said. If there was some limitation it may not be the vita's video capability, but the battery's. Can you imagine vita with full presentation 2 hour game and a battery that by the 8th was already drained. Kind of defeats the advantage of portability if everytime you played a full game you had better be near an electrical outlet. I don't know if this was in the back of their minds or not when they left out the presentation.

I had no feelings either way on the ps vita untill I looked at this a couple of weeks ago. Now i'm all set to pick one up on Saturday, then pick up both copies of the show when im in the states at the end of april. I normally have one trip to the states each year and pick up my fill of US ps3 games while im there.

Fortunately my local supermarket is selling the wifi vita for £198 instead of the retail £230!

It was purely by design. The developers would tell us if it was a limitation or not, they have been brutally honest about everything else.

What I don't get though is that it has always seemed that the design decisions of SCEA in regards to new features on The Show has been to give the users options, so why not one this time? I realize the Vita isn't a new feature like Pulse Pitching vs Classic Pitching, but still seems like an Presentation option should have been included on the Vita version.

Is there a instant replay option in the pause menu during a game on the Vita?

Broke down, bit the bullet and purchased a Vita and The Show. First time I've bought a system for just one game. Hoping NBA2K13 has cross-compatibility like The Show... *crosses fingers*

At least now I won't have to go hogging the TV away from the kids while enduring icy glares from my wife just to get my Showfix...thanks Vita, you may have just saved my marriage!!

And to those of you judging..hey, I can't help it if The Show is as addictive as Crack...blame SCEA.

Now where is the thread on interventions? May have to bookmark it for a few months from now...

I can't imagine 2k not being cross compatible. I have a feeling all sports games are going to go that route. It's the vita's biggest sell IMO.

Bought the Vita for The Show and Uncharted. Been having a blast with the Unit 13 demo too but when The Show hits the streets the other games will take a back seat for awhile. Really looking forward to getting my hands on this title

Hope this isn't too far off the beaten path....Is NBA 2K even coming out for the Vita? NCAA Football? NHL????

Agreed. In the past, there wasn't much draw to get the same game on 2 systems...you had to weigh what was best for your lifestyle and choose one. But with the cross-compatibility...doors have opened and for me, it was a system-purchase game-changer. Love it...

This thread makes me curious - how many of you folks picking up the Vita have a PS3? I am a 360 guy, so cross-platform gaming doesn't help me. Most of you folks seem to be talking about cross-platform gaming with The Show. Anybody without a PS3 buying the Vita just for The Show?

I am a 360 guy and I am having a hard time deciding whether or not I should buy the Vita just for the Show. I really really really want it though!

No need for 3G... all you need is WiFi to access the cloud via internet...

No. In fact, Cross platform saving won't even work on the 3G - you need a Wi-Fi hotspot to use it.

Yeah, that's is a strange choice. I got the 3g/wifi edition but not sure if I'm gonna pay for a 3g data plan.
